| manny also feeling the power from that weight division, time to drop down to a more comfortaBle fighting weight division, cotto didn't land much, but what he landed is enough warning, for the likes of mosley and co, to work on,this fight left a blueprint on how to counter manny, aftyer he finished his flurry, and how the uppercut, was the dominant weopen of choice, to a retreating fighter, where unfortunitly for cotto, discovered later on, as he is a supposedly an aggresive and forward fighter, whereas mosley and mayweather especially, are counter-punch specialist and know how to move sideways, and fight backwards!!!!!!!! |

I'm thining the same way M4 - Mosley seems to be hanging around for one final big payday - despite the fact that he's beating the c.r.a.p out of all the young guns while he waits for it - and IMO he deserves it.
How would he fare aginst Manny though? I tend to think Manny would wear him down, set to high a pace and sustain it for too long, not that Mosley cant fight at a high tempo, just that Manny would offer too much over 12 rounds for him. Similar to the Cotto fight I guess where you'd have a few evenish opening rounds, then Manny gains dominance and takes control for the last 8 or 9 rounds... |

Agreed - Maweather is a c.o.c.k - but he's also the best defensive fighter of his generation.
I know Mannys fast and all, but he reallyu struggled to cut off the ring against Cotto, who doesn't have anywhere near the elusiveness of Mayweather.
The only way you hit Mayweather is by putting his back against the ropes, and I cant see him letting Manny do it TBH. |

Mayweather has a great defense with his Philly stance/shoulder roll and he has effectively used it against many fighters. I know it is not his only method of defense but he seems to display it in nearly all his fights. He will struggle against a GREAT southpaw such as Manny.
Will be a great fight but I still say Manny will totally smother him.
Yeah, ya right, they are both special fighters, I just think Mayweather is a c.o.c.k |

| Mayweather/Paquiao will be interesting. Too hard to call. Mayweathers pretty fast too & his defence is something else. If Paquiao can find a way in, the fight's his. Both special fighters. |

Aurum said after working with the likes of Ali, Frazier etc.... Manny is the best he has ever seen and I tend to agree with him.
Manny walked through everything Cotto put on him early and walked him down but unlike Margaritto Manny hit him from every angle.
I definately believe Manny can not only beat Mayweather but he will stop him.
Mayweather is a hit and run style fighter and has never seen the speed of someone like Manny and Pacman has certainly proved he has the chin to last. He will catch Mayweather and it will be interesting to see how mayweather responds to constant pressure as Pacman will fight at the same speed all day and I reckon will wear him down. Oscar lasted with Mayweather but wasn't even in it with Manny. Mate, this guy is a freak of nature and has genuine CLASS.
He'll go down in history right there with Robinson and Ali. I just want to see him beat Mayweather and retire as he will have nothing else to prove. I just hope Mayweather doesn't play the ducking game and avoid the fight as it has to happen now!
Was also great to see Haye slay Valuev. Finally we have some super fights coming that can only be good for boxing. |

Great fight from Manny - if there were any questions about him taking a true Welterweights punch they have been emphatically answered.
I was extremely surprised by the way Cotto backed off after that second knockdown - sure you need to take time to get your wits back after wearing a shot like that, but the rest of the fight?
Anyway bring on the Mayweather fight - I'm not sure Manny can win it though. Cotto landed a lot of jabs in the early part of the fight, and you can be certain that Pretty Boy will be happy to run for 12 rounds.
The question seems to me to be one whether Manny can catch up with Mayweather and do what everyone else has struggled to do - hit him cleanly. |

Couldn't agree more mate.
Watched the Pacman Cotto weigh in. Pacman was 144 to Cottos 145. Pacman actually looked taller and bigger (thicker) in the ace off.
Mate, I reckon Manny is gonna stop Cotto!
It's gonna be an awesome fight!!! |

Yeah it was a good fight by Haye. I see a lot of people saying he was boring, didn't throw enough ounches, ran awat etc.. but really, he couldn't mix it up with guy that had almost 50kg on him and he knew it, so he fought to a plan that got him the belt and made Valuev look glacially slow in the process.
Yeah I wanna see Tua vs Arreola as well. But if I were Tua's advisor I would be telling him to go after Valuev TBH. Try and shatter the giants ribcage and get a stoppage. This would put him high enough up the rankings to get an eliminator and after that a shot at Ruiz or Haye (whoever wins their match) both very beatable guys for Tua.
After that who knows? Go after the Klits, defend in mandatories, it wont matter. Tua would be earning the money he's deserved and be set up for the rest of his life, and would fulfill his destiny as the heavyweight champ. |

I totally agree with ya Dark. Cotto is strong but that Margaretto fight broke something in him. Pacman late in the fight or on points.
How about that Valuev eh, finally that clown doesn't hold a belt (never deserved to). Haye is fast. But I dare say he will keep his distance from the Klithscho Bros for a while.
If Pacman beats Cotto (which I'm guessing) EVERYONE will want to see Pacman v Mayweather, but I'll beat Mosley will get an angle in somewhere between them.
I wanna see Tua vs Arreolla. I reckon Tua has what it takes to get up to those Klithsco Bros (didn't say beat them though). At least with Haye owning a belt he will breath some life back into the HW's with his big mouth! |

From what I've seen on the 24/7 Pacman is going to be WAY too fast for Cotto - their speed is in no way comparable.
Of course he still doesn't want to trade with Cotto, but I see him doing something similar to what he did to Hatton - control the distance, counterpunch, use those fast feet of his to keep out of trouble...
It'll probably take him longer to break Cotto down, but I'm picking Pacman by mid to late stoppage. |

| He'll be faster, but from what I've seen of Pacman, he likes to trade punches, and he doesn't want to do that with Cotto. |

| Valero is 25 and 0 with 25 ko's but is not in pacmans league yet. He fights on the outside and has average defence. A good fighter will expose him until he sorts it. He needs testing. Pacman has to fight Cotto, Mayweather and Mosley then retire. If he wins all he is the TRUE P4P man on the planet and will go down as one of the greats. |
