What amazes me we must be the only country that celbrates winning nd celebrates loosing even more...
The attitude of some people here make me sick and the sport and atheltes suffer thats why you will never see consistency in our sport because one minute they will support it and when you down you are out.
How dod they ewxpect anyone to succeed here and now you see why all our great sports people leave NZ becasue they get stabbed in the back....
Freckin HOOPS ROCKS!!! and now the sport I love will die thatnks to the little small mindedness of others...you wait bud, once the breakers make the semis...everyone is going to go lets support Hoops...by then too late, our Mens team will be out of touch and left the game SAD!!!!!! |

| basketball is a mean investment. breakers are doing awesome! money should be shared equally, when the tall blacks did well in the last world champs everyone wanted to be a tall black. as sponsorships threw in the towel so did the funding. thats how basketball looses its buzz when they have no sponsorship deals. have faith! rugby and sailing isn't for everyone so share the damn money! |

what kind of good investment is basketball gonna give to nz?? our breakers are so bloody useless... the crowds you can count on your fingers... and why compare it to rugby?? can the tall blacks fill a 30,000 seat stadium...
nah... just remember to import a good american player ...instead of a 40 year old blackman who looks flash in a basketball singlet and talks like kobe bryant... |

Man thats dissappointing that we have missed out on the olympics.
Coach is out of his depth,especially since his stupid public comments on how we are going to loose before the game started, probably needs to get fired!!
We need more money thrown at Basketball instead of rugby, we all know theres far too much money and attention thrown at rugby and we don't get a good return on that investment!!
