If the RIGHT Tua turns up (good diet, fit and trim) he will stop Cameron within 6. Tua has ko'd 4 WORLD champions in the past and the last thing to leave a fighter is his power! Tua only needs to catch Cameron once with that sledge hammer left hook and it's over and we all know Cameron is easy to hit! its really hard to read these threads and not stand up for david tua.i went to school with tua,lived a block up from him,hes half breed like me,choses to represent his fathers side which is fine. i fought(street fight) him on the streets by wickman way shops in mangere together with 4-5 of his cuzzies at the same time back in 91 by myself and soon after wanted me to train with him later which i turned down.i still have respect for him and what he s achieved and no one should disrespect and talk s@#t about him because we all know,you surely wont have the nuts to say those things in person in tua s face and no animosity intended.i come from a family of fighters that have put nz on the map in the past.i was paea wolfgramms sparring partner before he won his metal in the olympics,knocked out simi makihele in maui hawaii who represented tonga in the olympics i am still training fighters in my own gym in the usa in mma(mixed martial arts}out of texas have fought many mma matches and boxing,trained with some of the best in the world(bj penn and his bros in hawaii in brazilian jiujitsu and am still training under a 3rd degree gracie jiujitsu bblt andre darezan under relson gracie.i guess i gave you a little of my background and achievements just to let you know that i surely can back up what i say even in 2009 when i come home to new zealand,and oh"i do take on last minute fights"just for the hell of it,with or without gloves,rules or no rules..sure everyone has the right to their own opinion but to talk down on someone who really has earned his place in boxing,cmon give him credit- your words are feeble and cowardly.
im a little older than david but still compete when the urge arises.i guess if tua did win the louis fight you all wouldnt say what you said about him infact i bet when he entered the arena that day of the fight you felt so f@%$ken proud of tua that you was lost for words.now you all have something to say?and im tongan! |

for the first part I haven't a clue who you're talking about regarding Lewis. I for one think he was an awesome Champ and depsite what people perceived was a lack of "charisma", to me, that was about him packaging himself to American tastes of running the mouth and he didn't, so more power to Lennox.
I will just say that if Lewis hadn't thrown in his lot ol' steel hammer would still be moping on the outer with his brother. IMHO
Any good big man will beat any good small man. There you have it. The outer is that it only takes one punch to change that perspective and Lewis repsected that enough to keep Tua at bay as he had to.
I don't know what the point was of your post some of us support Tua and other don't and there it is.
I think your assertions that Barry was guranteed that bronze really says it all for me. Stranger things have happenend in the ring eg. Rahman's win over Lewis and Lewis' pummeling of Rahman, something I will point out Lewis was unable to do to Tua after going the full bout. What you don't seem to figure into your thinking are the issues around Tua such as his legal/personal rift with Barry those impact too whether you like it or not.
Your thinking that Cameron may win on points in my opinion would be unacceptable as for the first part Cameron want to make a statement. The USA do not want a HW who wins on points they want people who put them away. You know what, Shane's superior fitness helps him there but he still struggles to show everyone that he can change perspectives with one punch. That my friend is the difference between Shane and David.
I suggest you watch a few more videos and be a little clearer in your head when comparing who Shane has beaten and who David has DEMOLISHED. David has been inactive but I for one will never buy into the myth of Cameoron's power but as I have said previously, now would be the perfect time to have a tilt all considered. Good Luck to CAMBO but I support David all the way. |

The fight with Rahman that was a draw i think was the wrong decision. I`ve watched the replay a few times and i think Tua lost on points. As for the 1st fight the late knockout saved Tua from points loss. Tua whacked him after the bell if i remember rightly. Regarding the Rahman/Lewis 1st fight. The altitude got lewis. Rahman was in S.A training long before Lewis arrived. I think Lennox was only there a week or two before he had to fight. Lewis ran out of puff and got hit.(his own fault).But nobody seems to mention the rematch. Only the negative stuff. Lewis fought a smart fight against Tua but he always seems to get negative comments like "he was scared and ran".
If a rugby team had small forwards and amazing backs and played a team with huge forwards. Does the team try and muscle it up? No! they play to their strengths like Lewis did against Tua. Full credit to him. Kevin Barry should not be surprised at the result either coz in his day he was a more scientific and clever boxer than Tua ever was. Just a smaller guy thats all. He was guaranteed the bronze bofore he fought Holyfield in 84. I think Cameron might win a points decision against Tua. But i only say "might"
