That's not on. The allocation of Comentators and Presenters for Sporting Events should be left to the Broadcasters and other Media. Not the Team Coaches and Officials. Get some Backbone TVNZ.

its embarassing that a coach can make the call on who are the commentators, TVNZ should have stood their ground.

Peter Montgomery is a commentator most people either love or they hate. I personally htink he is one of the most knowledgeable yachting commentators in NZ. He is passionate about the sport and that comes accross when he oes his job.

However because of a personal dispute that no-one seems to know about, Dalton has leant on TVNZ to bar Montgomery from commentating.

This I think is gutless (not that I am surprised because TVNZ has a history of this). TVNZ should have called his bluff - afterall, the sponsors will be unhappy if it isn't covered.

What do you guys reckon?
