I dont't think anyone should be over confident Neither teams better than the other at the moment. Linebreaker is a little dense, but I still don't count the Aussies out. I'm gonna say both will score over 10 and under 25 and either team could win. GO THE ALL BLACKS!!!

Re:Champion Wallabies vs Soft All Black ... Reply to this message
im an aussie mate and i dont either teams going to score more than 30 points ewpecially if its raining...
Id like to think your comment breaker with regards to the aus vs nz positinal dominance was true and is it were your score prediction would be somewhat accurate but as it isnt i dont see the score blowing out.
However im tipping aussie 5 under using the sydney crowd to lift them in the final 15 to score a try through the forwards....
Aussie Aussie Aussie, oi oi OI!!!!!!!!

Should be a comfortable Wallabies win.

The Wallabies have the edge in the forward pack lead by the world's best 7 George Smith, I think the Wallas frontrow will grind down this overated AB's frontrow.

In the backs Giteau will have too much class for his opposite Carter. Giteau is more creative in attack and should ignite his backline to blow away the AB's.

Get down to your local TAB! Put the house on it.

Wallabies 52
All Blacks 6

That makes it even more interesting.
Agree, the packs and midfield will be the key. The AB's can't allow themselves to get locked in a battle of 'how many phases can we hold the ball for?' we've proven recently we don't have the personnel to be accurate enough. Better to look to break the defensive line early, then hit quickly around the rucks before switching the point of attack, again, quickly. If it's not working, Carter just play territory and grind away at the Aussie pack, forcing Elsom & Palu to lock in tight.

POINTS, POINTS, POINTS.... don't give a rats how they come, just keep the board ticking over.

It's actually been raining over here quite a bit latley.
My son's soccer match has been called off for Sat as the ground is to wet so looks like another wet and slippery match.Although the forcast is for clearing tommorow so hopefully a dryish track.

Re:Champion Wallabies vs Soft All Black ... Reply to this message
yep agree ivea, but I also think the battle will have a lot to do with the loosies, Braid is going to play a huge role in this game. If we get good turnover ball at critical times of the game in order for our centres to do the damage before the OZ defensive line is set, then this might be the difference.

You make some god points ivea, I too think the game will be won in the midfield, Am disapointed mortlock and mccaw arent playing, would be great to see kahui up against the worlds best. Looking forward t a cracker of a game, seems to be a real buzz about this one.

I always like to read the venom thrown at the abs,it shows us we are still the most feared team in rugby.

Well I've watched with amusement some of the humour, vitriole and drivel posted up on this site over the last week. Some relevant points brought up and many not. A lot of nervous tension I think?

I will reserve judgement until Saturday night, before I can honestly draw any conclusions as to where this tri-nations is going. Last year I did the trip to Melbourne and watched the ABs self-destruct in the 2nd half. From that I thought they'de learn and be stronger in dealing with pressure-cooker scenarios at the RWC. Alas not!

Tonight I make my way across the ditch again, and eagerly look forward to a HUMUNGOUS battle. There is SO MUCH at stake.... whether it be on the field or off.

I'd like to think that I'll be flying back with fond memories of a GREAT game - and the right result! I still think this is going to go to the Men in Black..... we'll see!

Re:Champion Wallabies vs Soft All Black ... Reply to this message
there is nothing wrong with a champion team losing to other sides.. ie the brazilian soccer team, the new york yankees....
The all blacks have been the best team in rugby since its inception without doubt.... they have beaten every other team more than they have been beaten by them there is no need for you kiwi fans to keep flogging this dead horse all us aussies know this. What we do no now though is that we beleive our young team will develop into something better than what we have had in the past with somewhat dis-jointed sides.. to many players coming and going.. deans knwos what hes doing and i bet he will have a small fortune on the wallabies to take the game down tomorrow night..
Going to be an epic battle.
i see the ab's have a slight forward dominance up front, the tight will be a good battle although i beleive the oz lineout to be slightly infront, in the absence of richie the aussie have a slight advantage in the loose, halfback 1st 5 combos are pretty even with eliis's poor form balancing against carters "best in the world" tag, midfield will be where the game is won and lost i reckon, who ever breaks tackles, or beats the man in the centres is where i beleive the game will be won / lost.. BArnes and cross ex leaguies up against nonu the tank and kahui the unknown... i think the ab's have a slight advantage in the centres but i think aussies wingers take it out over the ab's wingers, hynes and tiquiri have awsome form coming into the match and if they get ball in space will be hard to stop as for the abs as well. Look out for the cross field kick from barnes to tiquiri jumping all over tuitavake....
Too close to call though so im going with my heart and tippin aussie by under 5...
Aussie aussie aussie, oi oi OI!!!

I heard from good authority that the Pope gave the Arch Dean of Canterbury and the rest of the Wallabies last rites just hours before he left....

Re:Champion Wallabies vs Soft All Black ... Reply to this message
linebreaker;....."All Blacks rated biggest chokers in world rugby on the IRB chokers list"

How did you come up with that conclusion? If your so bold as to claim that the ABs are chokers than please explain yourself. The All blacks haven't had the best of luck when it comes to winning the , every four years tournament but they have stayed at the top of the IRB ranking for as long as we can remember. So , why are the All blacks *** ers?

Re:Champion Wallabies vs Soft All Black ... Reply to this message
The aussies have always played with intelligence as opposed to the meat head tactics from the Boks, and now they have a coach who is incredibly astute and very tactical. Of interest is the comments coming out of the Aussie camp re their tactics to shut down Carter i.e cut down his link men.

In my humble opinion that is the best way to target Carter, if they can successfully cut down his support players, passing options and time on the ball Carter will have a tough night. Obviously having a plan is different to actually implementing it, but Carter will need to be really switched on and playing with his head up if Aussie are successful with their tactics.

These kind of tactics will mean that the Ab forwards need to get on top and go forward all night to give Dan some time and options.

As I have said previously, I don't really rate the Boks at the mo, but with the AB's having nearly their strongest team and the Aussies adopting Robbies game plans this should be a freakin cracker game. I don't think I have been this excited since....well umm...I think it was October last year....
