| dach, the Cape Town locals wearing black & supporting the AB's is a good thing. It stems from the apartheid days when only white players were selected for the Springboks, so blacks and coloureds chose to support the All Blacks instead. They're also good fans & love the way the All Blacks play (especially last night!) |

In 2005 the All Blacks had just played a brilliant series over the Lions and went to the republic full of confidence, only to be shut out and well beaten.
I'm concerned this will happen again, the Blacks had best not rest on the laurels of the last game as they'll have to lift even more for this one.
The way to beat the Boks rush defence is clever kicking and committed running and Carter, Sivivatu, Nonu and Muliaina will have to provide plenty of that.
I hope the All blacks win but I've really no idea whether they will. |

....against a poor side, correct!!!
Prize for unluckiest player in world rugby : Jacque Fourrie
He was only on for 5 mins after coming back from injury and had his cheek bone broken, having said that Jacobs is a pretty handy substitute. |

| The ONLY thing that last nights game proved was that there is a huge gulf between the #1 #2 #3 and the rest of the world teams, nothing more, nothing less. |

Of course the AB's can do it.
Being possibly the most tightly contested TN ever, makes any sort of prediction a bit of a "roll of the dice" affair, which is great for the game, but yeah i certainly believe the boys have got another magical game in them yet.
I think the AB's need to play like they did against OZ at Eden Park, with regard to physicallity, accuracy, and smarts.
I agree sprouty there's going to need to be some individual magic produced from one, or more, of the backs, to break them open, with full commitment from the rest in support.
I also think SA will smash the Argies, and, unfortunately for us, it'll be a hard physical workout before next week, which i think will stand SA in good stead. |

If the Blacks dont take their A game they could well have trouble beating the Boks at home.
A positive is burger seems to be out at this stage,(I'll bet Ali's glad about that). Will be interesting to see how the Bok's go against the Argies tommorow.I personally think they will kill em.
New Zealand have to commit forwards to the breakdown, win the ball and spin it wide ,away from the rush up style defence of the Boks.I know I've said that before but I don't think their coach is a really deep thinker about the game and don't think he will come up with anything different from what has made them competitive in previous games.
The test will be ,can the Blacks win the ball on the front foot and get some ball going forward.I beleive they have the backs to do the job but the forwards need to step up.
This game will be won in the forwards first and will need some classy play in the backs.
I think they can do it. |
