Auckland is like summer, they always come back.
I didn't see the game, there's little Air NZ cup coverage in Australia.
And I'm glad I didn't.
It's not over yet and Lam is still the savior of the Blues, two titles in four seasons is good whichever way you examine it. |

Awsum game!!!!, Canterbury showed they had some good class coming through. Bateman, Whitelock and Hamilton all had excellent games. I didn't think the scoreboard was a true reflection of the game, it seemed a lot closer than that, but Canterbury totally deserved their win.
Auckland may have lost badly tonight, but I still thought there was a lot of talent in both teams, not to mention all of the NZ teams who have played this weekend. I thought the first couple of weeks were a bit rusty, but there were some superb skills on display this weekend, someone else mentioned Aaron Cruder from Manuwatu, he was brilliant.
Pats still the man!!!! He just has some work to do :-) |

I can imagine Pat with his head in his hands after that performance, wondering what he's going to have to do. Canterbury completely outclassed them, and if the kicking hadn't been so erratic the point margin would have been even larger.
That run by Bateman to make the tackle - that was great! |
