I think criticism of ICE is really harsh, the guy hasn't played in the same position for the AB's 2 weeks in a row.......EVER!!! Some of his offloads were just brilliant and he always looked most likely to make a break, so yeah, bit harsh boyz!!
As for Mackintosh, did you guys not see the tighthead in the last 5 mins when we really needed it? The Munster prop (as Mackinstosh rightly pointed out) was stepping backwards at scrumtime and this made it look like he was pushing early, I still think he has a lot of potential. |

Im more concerned about Donald who is our no.1 5/8 next year.
This is a big learning curve for MacKintosh who just needs to work on some technical issues. Experience is a 'must' when you are a prop because you get more wily and knowledgeable with more caps under the belt. Just remember that Hayman wasn't too flash either at the start of his career and was dropped. |

| Donald is too hot and cold to wear an All Black jersey and Macintosh never should have been an AB |

| I think Kirkpatrick would be a good long term option. I think it would have been a great opportunity for the selectors to take 3 first fives on this tour considering the large squad size. Kirkpatrick has very little experience, but that didn't stop them bringing Toeava along for the ride did it. |

| Must agree about Toeava, untested combination, didn't make Donalds job easier. |

| Of course he will be on the bench he is the only back up first five, but long term, if all blacks want to develop a back up to Dan I believe he wont be sufficient, Waikato man or not. |

Stephen Donald and Jamie Macintosh's games against Munster really showed their substandard abilities and character. Stephen Donald made poor choice after poor choice, while executing those poor decisions in an amature manner.
Jamie Macintosh is an obvious liability at scrum time and around the field. He may be big, but his technique, and composure are not up to test match rugby, neither at club level. Have you ever seen a prop be pushed around so easily off the ball, he was doing backwards rolls for half the game. |
