Anyone know if the 3 main Lions games will be on Sky Sport 1 here in New Zealand? or will they stick them on the bloody Rugby Channel?

A combined southern team.
Mate, we can't even bloody agree on the ABs!
Imagine the arguments then- and anyway, except for Mortlock and Gits, no Aussies would make the team.
Right sprout?

If the team coaches don't fall apart like last time the Lions may be able to scramble a draw. Well... anyway they can always borrow Lion Man Craig Busch from up Whangarei way to whip them into shape....NZ Maori would tour well up in the NH and would get good crowds in lieu of a BaaBaa side. I remember my bro yelling out at Edam Pk during the last Lions Tour, after a try 5 mins into the game under the posts "For the sake of British Rugby,Ref,blow full time now"

Yeah Lion tours should be between ever world cup, and should play SA OZ and NZ 2 tests each.

How bout if the northern hem did a simillar thing the very best combined 22 we have to offer touring over there, would be very controversial selection but would be a great specticle.

Re:The lions in Africa Reply to this message
The Lions should only ever tour New Zealand every four years.
I mean, having to wait 12 fkn years to see the best of the north take on the mighty All blacks?
Stupid.

Hey Andy, I'm good mate you.

I wrote a 300,000 word essay for you on another topic which you had posted on a couple of weeks ago but you didn't post again on that thread.

Mate like you, I think the Lions will struggle in SA. The only way I can see them taking a game off the Boks is if the Boks go in to a game not up for it mentally, which is a possibility. The Boks are prone to losing the occassional game they should on paper win.

I'll be watching with interest thats for sure, Lions tours are one of the last "old school" things that still exist in our game, long may they continue.....that way the AB's get to kick ar.se against the finest the NH have to offer every 10 years or so, winning the grand slam's are one thing but giving the Lions a lesson is just the cherry on top....wouldn't you agree Andy!!!

Croft going instead of Quinlan, Younge Halfpenny is out with a thigh strain but, may go later. First game next weekend.

The lions have beaten SA twice in a test series so are going to be difficult but, some great games in prospect.

Tis every rugby player in the british isles dream, to play for the lions and any country they visit it is the dream of their players to play against them..

Re:The lions in Africa Reply to this message
RC the boks are very good in preparing, you only have to look at the S14 to see that they are up for this, I think you might be right . Not really a great lions side, If we win one I think we will be better than the sum of the parts.

BTW Jerry Collins has signed for the Ospreys. ;))))))
