Cruden cleaned up at U-20 WC, then again im sure Donald would have had a field day there also. Got to remember theres a massive leap between U-20 & test rugby.
Hell, who knows, maybe Cruden has got the goods now, I dont think so, not yet, and I doubt we will find out for a few years |

| Sometimes "young cats' are more vicious than we give them credit for, if Aaron can beat cancer then he can as sure as hell cope with this trivial little battle. |

| I agree dg. We must not rush him or slade for that matter into the all blacks too soon. let them both have some super 14 and anzc seasons behind them to learn and grow a bit. both are young and have time on there hands to develop into good players |

| Cruden looks good sure, but why throw a young cat in the lions den? He cant answer the goal-kicking problem anyway. |

I agree with you pxl, but theres a bit of a conundrum - they cant keep luke based on his general performance vs italy but they NEED him to kick the goals - who else is there? Donald duck needs some new glasses, piri is marginally more accurate but he is struggling to even make the match 22
Unless:
10 Donald
12 Luke
13 nonu/smith (happy hikui?) |

"Forget everything else, how can you have a 1st5 who cannot kick goals? That allows your opposition to commit as many penalties as they want on defense without risk. If donald is to play in the 3N, mcalister would have to play 12 to kick, meaning nonu/smith/toeava fighting for centre berth"
At this point in time i'd be surprised if McAlister would be considered..Hansen seemed pretty peeved off with the decision making and handling errors out there tonight....
Notice that Mills cut in at crucial moments to take the 1st reciever role off Mac when he was getting nervous in the first half...champion leadership right there. |

Oli - best thing donald can do for the team - sit in the stands and cheer!

| Well, i think MacAlister proved he's too rusty for the tri- nations like i've been saying all along. He had all the time and space that wasn't afforded to Donald against the French and still wasn't up to scratch. He does have a good (goal kicking)boot so keep him on as a utility perhaps... |

| sure mooloo, heaps of the players were poor, donald was the only abysmal one though. How can it not be his fault if hes kicking at 20%, frankly not a single aspect of his game was up to scratch, he missed tackles, threw countless bad passes and the only tactical kick he knows is to the sideline at fulltime |

| Cowan is not a starting half back. His pass is laboured and he doesn't do much for the players around him. Weepu creates more and is better offensively. Weepu makes plays Cowan doesn't. Cowan would be better served coming off the bench. I'm sure tries would have come had Weepu started and played long minutes. He created more chances that were bombed and did so in 20-30 mins of action, than Cowan did the whole time he was on the field. |

| The truth behind what went wrong with Donald. The wind was too windy, the stadium lights were too bright n sparkly, the grass was not cut right, the entire forward pack had it in for Donald as did Nonu and Cowan. It also looked like one of Donalds boots was done up tighter than the other. No wonder Donald had a shocker. At least with CarLOSS Spencer know one knew what he was going to do next, Donald has no idea himself what he is going to do apart from make a hash of the situation. Talk about fake it til you make it. Donald Duck has been found wanting too many times and its not his fault the world is against him. |

pi.xy some of us have to work and don't have endless hours to spend on here nattering back and forth. But that aside I actually got sick of responding to you, whats the point in me repeating my opinion to you over and over?
I don't think you make a hell of a lot of sense, like a lot of posters, you say a lot but don't actually say much of any substance, keep cutting and pasting from the Herald bro.
As far as debunking my theory, wait and see what the selectors think. You might just have to try and debunk their theory as well. |
