yeah that's right - the ABs are shot to pieces and will never recover.
I mean this was their first ever loss in the history of rugby and were lucky not to have conceded 100!
How stupid is this guy? We lose, we come back, we win, we lose - it's all cycle and will go on as long as rugby is being played.
I know you're obviously just a kid due to such a ridiculous statement (or a very recent convert to rugby. if so, welcome). 1991 was the end of the ABs and rugby in NZ. 1995 was a good team that grew into a great team of 96-97.
98 was the worst in living memory, but then recovered through the early 2000s.
2003 was the time England were taking the mantle from NZ, yet we all know what's happened since then and how dominant the ABs were.
Get a grip mate the ABs have only lost 99 Tests. Ever! so i think it's long way before they become 2nd-rate. However, does add a bit to the next AB test to see if Aus want to be the team to bring up 100. |

6 tests in to the 2009 season, are the ABs still as fearsome as it was 10.. or 5 years ago? Are there any really encouraging talents out there?
I reckon the ABs of the past 5 yrs has been increasingly flooded with journeymen, and this trend doesn't look like ending any time soon. |

I think you'll find they played the first team Renee.
As for the 2005lions I think I'll leave it there.
I don't usually argue with fools, they drag you down to their level then beat you on sheer experience.
Regards Andy. |

I appreciate that Woodward was (is) a little co.ck, but signing on to any UK board and asking them what they think about the 05 Lions doesn't prove anything. Of course you chaps will say they sucked after the fact, they got whiped by 30 odd points in each game.
The point is before the tour and at the start of the tour they were the bee's knee's. By the way the Maori beat them, so they didn't win all the mid week games. |

But what I want to know is why can't the home nations bring the same style of game and aggression for the full 80 mins that the Lions have had over the last 2 weeks. And its a genuine question.
As an AB fan we are use to watching the home nations come out and start the game with gusto and purpose, but then they always fold with 5 or so to go in the 1st 40 and then with 20 to go in the 2nd 40. They play a slow, forward orientated game with limited enterprise or flair and when it doesn't work, they capitulate.
I wrote a huge reply could write no more so tried to delete part of the message and it all went, this board sucks.
But it is a good point when I have more time I will reply to what you asked.;0)))
Andy
PS by the by you are correct about us capitulating that hopfully is in the past. |

You must'nt listen to all the hype that goes with Woodward et all,, Sign on to Any UK board and ask how they felt about the 2005 lions, not my little world but the WWW.
The lions are four countries coming together, they have to make a team in a very short space of time, they don't have years to build, but several weeks
Woodward in his arrogance Failed to bond a team spirit and used his W"C team and told them he would be at the very start. Moral plummeted. But the midweek side won all their games in a show of defiance toward Woodward.
Half the WC winning team were over the hill or injured going into that test series But wood ward being a pretentious pratt paid the senior players no head and continued with his circus, has it became know in the UK.

Oli - 1995 was a freak year, 92,93,94 the ABs kinda meandered along, then 95 WC they unleashed this completely new style & played some great rugby. It carried over to 96 then started slipping until 98 (the horror!!), and has obviously built up again since then.
Point being - you seem to be implying that pre-95 the AB's were always as good as they were in 95 which is bs, it was a stella year which will hopefully be repeated. To expect that kinda dominance year in year out is absurd. Besides - 6 out of 10 3N victories still sounds pretty dominant to me |

| Its called performance anxiety, most of the 1991,1995,1999,2003,2007 world cup All blacks might want to visit NZ men's clinic to help them perform when it really matters, raise the bar so to speak... |

| To be of a nation (in this case New Zealand) you need to be born in that nation to be called by name of that nation (in this case a New Zealander). so if you from soman decent, you will always be a soman (by race and bloud) but a new zealander by birth. |

| The biggest of all games is the world cup finals. First win that, then one can say you've won the big games. Until then... you only won SOME big games. |
