| The ABs have won many big games since 1995 I've noticed, perhaps i should have said that the ABs recent performances and tactics has been solid without being innovative, while other nations have raised the bar and its rapidly catching up as recent results suggests. we are slowly losing our once dominant status and the "fear factor". its just gonna get harder for the ABs to win the WC as other teams are more and more competitive, unless, we can hold on to our top players from overseas contracts. |

Andy
Before the lions came down here they were billed by you lot as being the best in decades, its only history that has proven otherwise. Note the '' round 'best' .
It wasnt an attack on your boys btw, merely showing oli that the ABs have won a few big games since 1995 |

| a wins a win... and thats all that matters, doesnt have to be convincing like we are so used to seeing of recent years... the style of win is everybodys expectation and whether a team can notch-up 50 points in every test etc, if you check out the tests of old the scorelines will reveal that most test nations won games with low scores i.e. ABS - 6 Australia - 4 etc etc, as long as we win i dont care the manner of how we win |

| But Teko we lost against france 1 st test and france should have won the last test and the ab s were hardly very convincing against a minor rugby nation like italy ? |

Hi Dingerway you said: "Every time Mcaw and Carter are missing from the team our rugby goes Krappy,so ask yourself are we THAT good."
Well your statement only confirms what i said, we win without those guys so i can only assumme we will continue winning without them, we never had them in the team 10-15 years ago and we were pretty good winnners then, so truth be told we dont really need them in the side now... for all i care they can go to france and stay there if they want to :-) |

| Teko we keep saying we are the best in the world, sounds cool but in world sports rugby are a very minor sports,as for we are the best, sadly,it sure do not reflect in the amount of times we have won world cups.Every time Mcaw and Carter are missing from the team our rugby goes Krappy,so ask yourself are we THAT good. |

mate im only stating the obvious... SA and Aussie are great opponents in rugby and i wouldnt want it any other way, I'd hate to see SA go to the northern hemishphere to play more permanantly, we like seeing the 2nd and 3rd best rugby nations playing against us home and away, it keeps us sharp and at the top of world rugby as you would already know.
i might be all talk but the stats are there for everyone to observe and take note of.
ps. i also think there should be a team made up of NZ, SA and Aussies, much like lions have... we can tour the northern hemisphere every 4 years, of course the team would be made up of mostly NZ'ers, and the interchange bench made up of SA & Aussies :-) |

| I think NZ will always have rugby supremacy... we obviously had it before the game went professional in 1996, and we still have it 13 years into the professional era, i dont see why we will not have rugby supremacy for another 100 years and every other rugby nation chasing our tails as has been the case to date :-) |

In your own little world Andy your not making it up, but when the Lions toured in NZ all we heard about was how good they were and how they were the best Lions team in decades, that is why others have said similar things.
As far as over the hill, theres a couple from that Lions team still playing in this Lions team!! But no Andy once again because I don't agree with you, I have no grasp on anything!
I tried twice yesterday to post something for you but was having trouble with computer. I didn't post before that as I haven't seen the game so can't really comment about it.
Your obviously sitting up there feeling quite chuffed with yourself and your team, feeling like they have justified your position on their ability, which by all accounts is fair.
But what I want to know is why can't the home nations bring the same style of game and aggression for the full 80 mins that the Lions have had over the last 2 weeks. And its a genuine question.
As an AB fan we are use to watching the home nations come out and start the game with gusto and purpose, but then they always fold with 5 or so to go in the 1st 40 and then with 20 to go in the 2nd 40. They play a slow, forward orientated game with limited enterprise or flair and when it doesn't work, they capitulate.
The Lions seem able to play the full 80 but also play with skill and flair. Why don't the home nations play a style such as the Lions?
On critsium or praise, you only get it when you preform. Like it or not Andy AB fans have a way higher level of expectation from a team and game than most other playing nations, it may seem arrogant but we are use to our team winning and playing/watching a high level of rugby right across all comparative levels in NZ.
But the Lions played well, really well by what everyones saying, so what happens, people say good stuff about them. |
