Re:Starting team for Aussie Reply to this message
Ranger still needs to prove himself a bit more at Super 14 level and with the Junior All Blacks. In my own opinion, one "pretty good year" doesn't translate into AB selection. Needs a bit more experience at least.

Re:Starting team for Aussie Reply to this message
ranger was fantastic for a few games at the end of the super14. it was nothing special, just good streight hard running onto some good passes that have him half gaps to run at. Some of his finishing was very strong though.

Re:Starting team for Aussie Reply to this message
Gateaux as gooda player as he is against the minnows has yet to really show his consistent best against the likes of saf/nz, if aus is to win anything he really needs to find another gear

Re:Starting team for Aussie Reply to this message
Matt Gitaeu will be dining on a BIG MAC, he`s gonna have him for lunch.
Ferret Deans ( as much as i hate him)will be having the
"Headmaster" for supper too.
But like all Headmasters say, nowdays, finishing third out of three teams isn`t too bad.....it`s just playing the game, that`s really important.....Kiwiana

Re:Starting team for Aussie Reply to this message
I'll go the same as ghost but C Smith must start at 13, I still see Toeava as Muliainas backup if he's kept at all (I think he should go to the juniors to sharpen up).
All we need is for McCaw to be fit and healthy and the team is 50% better already.

1. Woodck , 2. Mealamu, 3. Afoa, 4. Thorn, 5. Ross, 6. Kaino, 7. McCaw, 8. Read, 9. Leonard, 10. McCallister, 11. Sivivatu, 12. Nonu, 13. Smith, 14. Rokocoko, 15. Muliaina.

Reserves. Weepu, Masaga, Jane, Donald, forwards????

First test will be hard, Australia are pretty much at full strength and with Giteau and Barnes steering the ship, we're looking at a repeat of last year.
