| The Aussie kicking game isnt that hot either, they have had the better running game at the mo but they have been playing on a dry track in their past 3 tests, they broke the french line heaps lastnite but only to score only one try lastnite. |

| I know it's too late to change but Bowden for the Landers had a great S14 and would have been a better option. |

oli,I'm being serious. To me Macalister doesn't have a decent kicking game, and that was against weak opposition.
I'll admit though I watched the last game when Donald played and geez he was bad.I've haven't seen a worse game by a 10 for a long time,it was almost comical.
So who do u choose Shyte or Shytyer lol |

| Mac for the Blues and the ABs in 2006 was a very good first five and he really stood out at 2nd five for the ABs because of the good ball from D.C being at first five |

| i agree that donald at the moment isnt up to par ,Mac for me at first five till D.C recovers, hopefully his experience at that position will come through,i thought he attacked the line a bit to much by himself where he could of got his backline to attack at a deeper pace where Ma'a could of done it better at pace with Mac doubling round but thats just my opinion |

I personally think from an Oz point of view that Donald should have been persevered with and he should have played against the Italians from a confidence point of view against weaker opposition .He has the skills, and think of the pressure the guy is under.I noticed the crowd cheer like mad when he went off last week.
Macalister isn't a 10's ahole start him at your peril |

| agree gvtskwi, but we have no other choices right now unless we stick with Donald ( = kiss goodbye to tri-nations) and i much rather see Mac at 12. |

| Weepu for the Canes has plaed some good rugby at 10,but for the ABs i cnt really say.I think first five, centre, openside and your front 3 have to be specialist position.Thoses linch pin positions need time to master and usually you hit your strapps in your mid to late 20s playing in one of thoses positions consistently to master it. |

I think we can take heart in the fact Italy scored tries against Australia but did not even really look like scoring agains the AB's
if anything it was the All Blacks defence that became their trademark last year. capped off by a northern tour where no tries were conceded in the test matches. |

| My choice of 10 without Carter is Weepu (shock horror!) he is the one of the few players that has the big match temperament, who is less likely to throw interceptable passes( McAlister) and kick aimlessly under pressure (Donald), plus Weepu has heaps of experience at test level, tat can't be a bad thing for the class of 2009. |

| i think a bit of complacency played a big part in the first half but i think we have to give credit to The Italians, when they lost to Aussie they were disappointed but ok with the 34-12 score line against them, but thier coaches were jumping for joy when the final whistle blew lastnite because they only lost to the no.1 ranked team by 21points and to them it is an achievement. The Italians saved their best game for us and they played well, they tackled wickedly and didnt give an inch, they played out of their skins and we played average at best because they had the big heart |

| luke was miles ahead of donald when he left nz, since he came back haven't seen any of that. He needs some npc and s14 they should say see you next year then we would see where he ranks in nz instead of que jumping ahead of other players who have been working hard here donald included in that |

| A 7 men game is perfectly fine if we have loosies with flairs and SPEED, not sure if Read, kino or Thompson has that quality.. and Luke is possibly the most over rated back this decade, but he is still miles ahead of Donald. |

| Henry and Smith thought that Wonder boy Luke was going to win the game on his own, to make up for the last two tests he lost for us. |

Seems like they tried to play a 7 man game (the anti-england), whatever happened to pick & go, mauls etc
Seems like waaay too often backs were getting caught close to the ruck yet props & locks & back 3 were standing out beside the winger.
All good if you;ve got the roll on, but you have to knead the dough before you bake the bread |
