Don't forget that Ross has played 3 S14 campaigns under 3 different coaching staff. I would say this actually reinforces what a lot of us have said. Players need to develop at that level before we throw them to the wolves at test level.
Ross will continue to improve and mature as a player thanks to the solid grounding he has had.

< Just a thought. Would be good to see him & if he could develop more with a decent coach >

temptd2, come on bro, Blackadder has only had one year at the Crusaders, give him time and I am sure he may go on to be as successful as Henry. I also think that even now he capable of teaching Ross something, he was a 2nd rower after all.

Triggs? Did OK at S14 but then so did several other locks in NZ. There would be a lot ahead of him I think.

Great seeing this young guy come through, he is a great prospect, 2009 is a great time for blooding him for 2011 (which is important)

He is great in open play, STILL needs to harden up break down, clearing and (hard yards, tight play)

With Ali Williams and Brad Thorn their to support and metor.
Ali is World class, best in word when fit. Brad Thorn is the Steve Price (but harder) professional that brings an element to the AB's I doubt we have had since Colin Meads.

issac is the boy that need to be bloodened and hardened, which is happening wonderfully

Issac Ross and the Bekker lock for the boks (6'9 reserve) are instore for battles of the future, Bekker is hard with not as much skills, Issac has no skill, and hardening up.

Id love now to see JAMES RYAN, GINGER from Otago come back and we will have surpreme locks in the wings
