There is so much double standards in rugby these days. I know you don't like hearing the truth BUT the o'druscal clear out omanga did deserved at least 4 weeks. If you difer from this opinion, then i never want to hear anyone is playing dirty again.

I think that with botha's ban you have to consider that the guy is up for cr@p like this constantly. Compared to Thorn who is hardly ever sited for foul play.

And IMO the 8 week bans for eye gouging are not enough, in both cases. That's the most cowardly cr@p out there and gives the game a bad name. They should toss the book at it and give these guys 6 months off to ponder their carriers.

Agree totally there. You look at what the Italian guy did for 8 weeks and then you look at what burger did and see how it is possible to get the exact same amount of time. Bakkies was clearing out a ruck. Nothing really in there. Compare that to when Thorn upended Smit without the ball and only got 1 week...

Re:Burgers and Bakkies ban Reply to this message
Both of these are a joke. Bakkies should not have got anything and Burger should have got at least 10 - 12 weeks

Botha got 2 weeks for his indiscretion. He will miss the first test but will be back in time for the boks first game against nz.

Burger got 8 weeks. Should have gotten more as it was blatant eye gouging.
