all blacks took the hard road to the final in 1995

beat the j.aps 145 to 10 or something
teams we can hardly beat,, ireland, wales, scotland, england, can't remember who else, lose to the yarpies

hard road to get to that final.

I congratulate Robbie deans and wish him well for branching out and trying to gain coaching experience outside of NZ, but that doesn't mean stupid dorklanders have to stereotype myself as a Wallabies supporter just because I'm from Christchurch, I back the All blacks wholeheartedly.

uummmm, actually neiltimson, we have had Cantabs on these boards stating exactly that. You might not be like that, and I know mark definitely isn't, but sorry buddy, some of your fellow Cantabs are I can assure, and if it makes US sick, it sure as hell must gut you, but it's the truth.

But that's just typical dorklanders for you, they think because Deans was Crusaders coach we now back the Wallabies, that's shows how disfunctional and inferior they are.

You people fling too much shi't.

No one cares what you did last year or yesterday, every week and every day is totally different. You win a Rugby World Cup, good, are you just going to stop there though and sit on your chuffs, accepting heavy defeats? You have to keep going. If you don't play like the best and get the best results, then your not the best.

I still stand by the fact of Deans being a good coach. I've also never rubbished Henry. If anything, it's been mainly me who has DEFENDED Henry's selections for most of this year. There's no rule that states I can't like Henry and Deans both.

(By the way, only a B/S artist would mention "I was in my first year of uni" whats that got to do with anything and who gives a flying fark anyway?)

wacksoff.
I was attempting to let brainy know I think the world cup is important to me too and in 1987 all our lives were different to what they are now.
I don't think you have changed at all though- you were a bitter moronic cant then and continue to be now- so except for you- everyones lives have changed.
Now go check out that saucy little ewe in the bottom paddock that's been giving you the eye for weeks now- the saucy little tease.

Re:Robbie "turncoat" Deans Reply to this message
wehe, if you can't grasp the idea that because someone wins the WC that doesn't necessarily make them the best team in the world then theres no point in you responding anyway.

The WC is hugely important to any rugby fan in any country, but the fact is a team can win it without playing 4 of the 5 top teams in the world. SA were not the best team in the world in 07 or 08, the AB's were and thats undisputable.

One game win or lose does not necessarily make a team the best in the world, nor does winning 4 games against teams ranked 5 through 10.

Its so simple thats its stupid.

Re:Robbie "turncoat" Deans Reply to this message
So rugbygollum, following on from that statement, if the ABs win the next WC (and they had better) they will be world champs but not the best in the world? who will be? the current best, SA, or god forbid the wallabies? As that famous QLand politician once said "please explain"
By the way, only a B/S artist would mention "I was in my first year of uni" whats that got to do with anything and who gives a flying fark anyway? I would be surprised if you finished primary school.
Permission to respond. I won't be.

Re:Robbie "turncoat" Deans Reply to this message
I was in my first year at Uni when the ABs won the world cup.
When they win it again (and they will) I'll probably cry like a bloody baby, so many years and disappointments will be put to rest.
But winning the cup makes a team world champions- not best in the world, they are two different things.

Re:Robbie "turncoat" Deans Reply to this message
The fact is that if you win almost all the games leading up to the most important tournament there is and can't win the tournament you have failed.
Be like a sprinter who wins every 100m race before the olympics but doesn't win the olympics and doesn't even get a medal.
As a side point to most rugby fans and I don't mean the ones like us who are fanatics rankings mean nothing

Re:Robbie "turncoat" Deans Reply to this message
c4, thats not correct Brazil don't always win soccer world cups.

There was a period through the 60's and 70's where they were considered the best team in the world but didn'n't win the WC for something like 24yrs.

The idea that the soccer WC is won by more teams is bollocks as well. The soccer Wc has been going for something like 80 yrs, in that time 6 or 7 teams have won it.

The rugby WC has been going for just over 20 yrs and 4 different teams have won it. In 80 years time the likes of Wales, Ireland, France even Argentina could have won it.

The AB's will win a WC again. And when they do they are likely to go on and win a few in a row. The WC so often comes down to injuries and the draw. If the AB's had the same draw the Boks had in 07 we would have won.

Re:Robbie "turncoat" Deans Reply to this message
"I want the number one ranking and a RWC.."

Because Sth African Rugby have steadily closed the gap between themselves and NZ rugby, 2011 should shape up to be the ultimate showdown for rugby supremacy...how fitting is it that all comes back to where it all started, and between the 2 feuding teams at the time (with the boks getting no invite the first time around). Just hope the Wallabies or England dont spoil the real "The Fight Of The Century" lol

Boks vs Abs in the final would be a dream event....

Re:Robbie "turncoat" Deans Reply to this message
I am not angus with you I want the same too a World Cup.

It is not as if there are that many teams you have to beat to win a Rugby World cup.

In football Brazil is always ranked 1 or 2 and they win world cups which are much harder to win so why cant the All Blacks

Re:Robbie "turncoat" Deans Reply to this message
I agree with people that being ranked number one is a great achievement, year after year, that is satisfying for some, but I just want a RWC, for me, it is the be all end all, just my view,
it is the ultimate prize their is in rugby union, the most significant trophy in rugby union, I want the number one ranking and a RWC, Don't be angus at me! Guess I'm just greedy and want it all hehe.

Re:Robbie "turncoat" Deans Reply to this message
With the history and players the All Blacks have at their disposal they should always be ranked 1 or 2 and have a 80% success rate
Because of this not winning the world cup means more and is more of a failure than if ranked 4 or 5 etc

Re:Robbie "turncoat" Deans Reply to this message
" Is that right dachiropractor17

"winning on a regular basis is better than coming to the party once every four years"

....Oh yeah, the excuse makers attitude.
...so this party that comes around once every four years with the most significant trophy in rugby union means
nothing to you? "
......................... ......................... .........

what excuse are you on about brainy? lol

yes it would be great to win the world cup, but whats the point in pointing that out every time you get a flogging? lol

have a think about the following sunshine:

south africa - world cup holders in 1995, got hammered by the all blacks in 1996 losing 4 on the trot. do you think that the springbok coach said to his players after their 4th loss to the all blacks "we still the world cup holders? " hehehehehe empty feeling huh? lol

there are many more examples but i'll wait till you catch up k sunshine? lol

all blacks have lost 4 tests this year - not good in my books but hey - for other countries its almost the norm:):):) lol

dont worry - all blacks will always be the team:):)

Re:Robbie "turncoat" Deans Reply to this message
"RWC is what it's all about IMHO, OK ..AND....
The Number one rankings system as well I suppose"

I guess thats been the point of contention all along which is why it is important to give credit to the Boks for restoring some respect to the coveted title and Rugby in general. Can you imagine if Aus won it and Deans record shows 1 W - 7 L against the AB's? The RWC would be seen as a joke by the wider sporting community that's for sure.
