Re the poor crowd for the final. Just my thoughts but this might actually have been the best thing that could happen for domestic rugby as the NZRFU might actually get their act together and actually support domestic rugby and by this I mean real domestic rugby not the S14 variety.
But then again they probably won't! |

always thought cantab would win, slade was the difference with his 2 tries great speed for the first and just running a great line for the 2nd, wellington were better in the 2nd half but found their game too late
nice swerve in that run for maitland's try, great run |

| SO you went to the game? I did. Fantastic astmosphere, fantastic crowd. Heaps of kids there to whatch the red and black crusning machine walk over another pathetic North Island effort. Ranfurly Shield and Air NZ Cup safely in the South Island for another year ... the South Island dominance of NZ rugby continues. Maybe you Nth Islander should all support the NZ Warriors now theres an idea ... but then again the Canterbury Bulls are the national rugby league champions though. Ah well there's always ... hmmm nothing to look forward to up there really! |

Wow, missed the game as i got in some Z's for the morning internationals....hard luck Welly. Congrats Canterbury. Slade ey?...might see him in Black next year if keeps it up.
Why do Welly always try and play the conservative game (that there no good at by the way) when it comes to the finals (NPC/ANZC/S14)?
