That was a game changer that yellow card.admittedly no points were scored when Palu was sent off but Oz were on top at that point and Kaplan took it on himself to make the call.
If u can't make a tackle like that in footy, what's the point in playing ! |

Agree with celtic the Irish hadn't played together as a team since last March, some of their returning lions had only played a few games before the Aussies, so well done Ireland.

| It was a pretty good game of rugby from both sides, as another put it, enterprising. The Irish showed alot of moxy in taking it to Wallabies and then finishing the game the same way. That tackle by Palu though was a cracker. Kearney ran that ball back like a lion but ended up curled like a baby after the (legal) hit. Still, he got up and continued like a champ. Tough irishmen eh.. |

I think australia had more rugby heading into the match and therefore were alot more game ready then the Irish,
remember, they had two prior test matches while the Irish went in underdone and it showed, I take my hat off to the way the australians played mind you, enterprising rugby, we have alot of respect for leinster man Rocky elsom, great great man. |

| Celtic,i thought the Wallabies had that game. That the Irish came back is a credit to them,However,I think the Wallabies dominated for most of that game and believe they were the better team on the day. |

Even though the test match ended in a draw, it must feel like defeat for the Wallabies,
their grand slam attempt halted in its tracks by the power of the almighty Irish.Another battle awaits us in the form of Tri nations champions the south africans who hopefully won't be saving their best game for us. |

Andy the AB's are the bench mark my friend, the Boks claim to tbe the best but they are fickle on the road, just like the Aussies.
It wouldn'd suprise me if the Boks lost to Ireland and/or your lads. And I personally don't care if the NH teams beat the Boks and Aussies, I don't think its good for the game if one hemisphere is totally dominant over the other.
All that matters to me is that the AB's win.
Another 50 years mate, another 50 years!! |

Celtic,I'm under no illusions as to the difficult task that the Wallabies have tonight against the six nations champs.
Although i have confidence in the Oz team to put a good fight,my worry for Oz is the line-out and Quade Copper at 12.He is the obvious weak defender in the back-line.
Ireland will attack there.
I think Wallabies will get parity in the forwards and hopefully the Oz backs can do the biz.
Looking forward to it .
May the best team win !! |

Cometh the day, Cometh the hour
the almighty power of the Irish!
We will look to play it tight amongst our forward pack led by Jamie heaslip and Paul O connell
try to exploit the australians around the fringes to test out young david pokock on defence
We do have an australian influence amongst our coaching staff in Alan Gaffney and Les Kiss so we do have a little insight into the australians mindset heading in to the test match. Will Genia is key, if we can shut his time and space down that will be crucial as he was instrumental against england. Brian O Driscoll plays his 100th test match at croke park so you can expect a tough encounter from the Irish. |

good to have you on board Mauiatalanga2 and of cause you too RC.
Hope Oz can string a few games together for a change.
I think from today's performance by France they are going to be the NH team to beat. They really served it up to SA both at the breakdown.lineout and scrum. They really played great footy.just like how they played on their tour down here. |

| I don't know but I'v got a gut feeling the Wallas are going to do the northern hemis over. Aussies have a good team but they are not consistant with what they want. One game they are up and on the go and then the on the following game they flop. Aussies have a point to make and since they couldn't do it down under they'll want to do it up north. Come on Aussie land do the north for us Lol!!! |
