I remember a quote from my dear old friends from a past generation...
Many of you youngsters would have heard of them...
The great Ian kirkpatrick once stated
"You never beat wales, you only score more points then them"..
Grant batty once stated
their had been two good things about visiting wales
"Beating wales, then leaving wales"
oh how those sayings still ring true to this very day. |

I can remember it like yesterday....
Wales, one of our most fiercest rivals, almost on par with the springboks, great battles have been waged between the all blacks and welsh, back in the 1970's it was an unhealthy rivalry, very intense
Keith murdoch was tragically expelled from an all black tour immediately after a bitter match against wales which we just managed to win, good memories |
