Re:Wallabies V ABs Reply to this message
And no Kaino?
Why?
WTF did he do wrong?
Mark my words- the Aussies will run riot with the best AB defender off the field!
I'm looking forward to seeing how Genia goes against the great Jimmy Cowan (the measuring stick for all halfbacks and the man McCaws captaincy should be given to after he's stripped of it).

Re:Wallabies V ABs Reply to this message
1. Tony Wood ***
2. Andrew Hore
3. Neemia Tialata
4. Brad Thorn
5. Tom Donnelly
6. Adam Thomson
7. Richie McCaw (captain)
8. Kieran Read
9. Jimmy Cowan
10. Daniel Carter
11. Josevata Rokocoko
12. Ma'a Nonu
13. Isaia Toeava
14. Cory Jane
15. Malili Muliaina

Replacements:

16. Aled de Malmanche
17. John Afoa
18. Jason Eaton
19. Rodney So'oialo
20. Brendon Leonard
21. Stephen Donald
22. Hosea Gear

Must say I'm not totally happy with this lineup.
Why is Tialata there? Franks has done a great Job but if he needs a rest what about Newlands? King? Afoa (to start)?
Why is Eaton on the bench? There are much better locks about.
Nonu and Toeava are probably the best option at 12/13
Joe should get a lotto ticket with all the chances he gets. I hope Gear gets a decent run. Maybe move Jane to fullback later one?

What do others think?

Re:Wallabies V ABs Reply to this message
There's probably not a lot of excuses this year jaf.
The 2009 All Blacks totally suck and are easily the worst team since 1998.
It's hard to tell what will happen this weekend- the Aussies played superb rugby a couple of weeks ago and will be wanting to get revenge after the last minute loss in Sydney.
But the week off could break their momentum and it seems the overconfidence has set in the Wallaby camp from what I've read so far this week.
As I said, the blacks are shythouse and if they do win, it'll be another staggering, unconvincing win that will prove nothing and not hide the obvious problems in our national team atm.

Re:Wallabies V ABs Reply to this message
You know what will happen if the Aussies win on Saturday nite excuses will be oh we didn't play our best team cos of the following :
best players injuried
we had food poisioning
tialata was on face book and forgot to turn up.
Renee and Henry where out rotating
Hansens skills were to basic to wake up that morning
we have now gone into the rebuilding stage(how many years do you need to rebuild ?)
the ref didn't like wellington cos it was to boring
etc....
But im sure the AB's hopefully will play well and not just use excuses ,as far as being a dead rubber which i don't see it as but others do.Every test is important not just ones where certain cups and titles areup for grabs.
I've also been thinking sometimes hard for me to do but i feel they should make drop goals , penalties and conversions all 1 point and tries 5.Not shots at goal from inside the opposition 22 and be only able to have say a limited amount of times you can kick from inside the oppostions half.some thoughts!
Just would like to see more running with the pill .Less kicking even when the saders do it i get annoyed.

Re:Wallabies V ABs Reply to this message
Nutty,
Palta-nou and Turner fit and to play on Sat.
Same side as last week.
Solid front row and scrum, backs starting to fire,a line-out that works....
Smith 8,Po *** 7,Elsom 6
Not a bad backrow combo.Although I would never move Smith from 7,just like I'd never move McCaw i spose but Poc@@K deserved his selection.
There was an article in the SMH today headed."Silence of the Lambs".LOL.It included lines like."Mils is always out of position and Thorn is too short".
Oh I hope we are not getting to far ahead of ourselves.

Re:Wallabies V ABs Reply to this message
Wellington is the Aussie's favourite venue in NZ - most success there! Should be a cracker. This Aussie team has the makings of a pretty useful unit (average age only 23!) - ABs will be playing for pride.

Beware the wounded ABs ...... with the public and media lashing received over the last week I expect they'll be fireworks on Saturday.... weather permitting!

ABs by a couple in a high scoring game 36-29

Bring on Jane, Gear, De Malmanche, and Toeava[based on last sat.] to name 4. Time to pay these 'performing' players their dues because they sure as h.ll wont fail us like those they take the place of.

teko; I think you have copied this from a pre test speech by Hansen. Rings a bell going right back to the second test against France. We're lacking forwards period.

Re:Wallabies V ABs Reply to this message
zorro; That's it; they played poorly and it hasn't been just that test this year; it's been all of them. Almost winning and flukes just do not cut it with me in the pro era I'm afraid. Cheers.

Re:Wallabies V ABs Reply to this message
If Henry only changes Sivivatu because of his injury, Oz will take the AB's. Henry needs to put Mils, Roko,Hore on the bench and tell Donald to packs his bags.

Re:Wallabies V ABs Reply to this message
Hey Sprouty. At last some intelligent discussion.
This has the makings of a cracking game. Really there is nothing riding on it so both teams could potentially let rip and express themselves.
Lets hope your boys carry on from Brisbane and our boys carry on from their last 20min.
Sit back, grab a beer and enjoy the ride:-)
