Re:Robbie "turncoat" Deans Reply to this message
apart from south africa, in these parts of the world, the abs are the pinnacle of rugby, if robbie and the wallys can't beat the all blacks what's he gonna live on?
excuse after excuse and
victories over south africa, france and england?, good achievements defeating those teams I'm just using them as an example, if that's the case, he's doing more harm then good, because deep down I'm sure the resentment and frustration is building within the wallys camp from an outsider looking in, how long they can tolerate loss after to the all blacks with a kiwi at the helm,
only time will tell, the knives must be sharpening by now

Re:Robbie "turncoat" Deans Reply to this message
Nothings changed IMO. Henry is stll rubbish.
The Saffas are the best at the mo and have no trouble beating the ABs. The ABs are better than Oz at the mo but Robbie hasn't got nowhere near the talent and numbers Henry has to work with. I'm still not writing off Robbie pulling the carpet out of the chokers feet at 2011!
So Henry retains a 2 nations cup and eveyrone is happy LMAO
De Villiers must be best coach in the world then aye?
Did the Abs lose to the French earlier this Year? LMAO
Yep that Henry is great aye! LMAO

Re:Robbie "turncoat" Deans Reply to this message
Mark he has done horribly, the wallabies have had a shocking season, they haven't lost 4 in a row to us in one season for something like 30 years. Your in denial mate.

One win at home against a tired, disinterested Bok side means nothing. If the AB's had the same year you know damn well you would be saying they had had a shocking year. Imagine losing 7 straight to the Aussies!

Juzz bloody hard case how you now don't think that coachings an issue and we should all just get on and support the team!

Well phark me mate if thats not what the vast majority of the country, me included, were saying months/2 years ago when you idiots in Canty were going on and on and on and on and on about how great Dingo is and how totally rubbish GH is, and how its was an absolute travisty that Dingo was not given the AB's, and there after everytime the AB's lost or GH and co made a selection or decision you guys didn't like.

It was not me or most of the other posters, or for that matter most NZ rugby fans that made coaching an issue, IT WAS YOU GUYS in smallville!!!!!

Re:Robbie "turncoat" Deans Reply to this message
Renee, you make it sound like Deans has done terribly. They did beat the best team in the world, Springboks, this year. I don't accept the excuse the Boks were tired either, they did manage to beat us the next week. They have already shown glimpses of what they can do - the element of consistency is the only thing thats missing.

Re:Robbie "turncoat" Deans Reply to this message
are they not in the top three? and arent there three abs coaches? two of which are the ones people are crediting for the crusaders success?...i for one have gotten over the coach bs and am enjoying watching "rugby" is that not what we are the fans of? if coaching is your thing perhaps you should watch training sessions... my mindset is now that the 80 mins played by the men on the field is more important than the shyte that seems to have devided our country.....

Re:Robbie "turncoat" Deans Reply to this message
Mark, this idea you have that 2 full years is not enough to start having an influence on the team is just plain and utter rubbish.

Aussie have always been one of the top 3 teams in the world, they have some of the best atheletes in the world, and they have a history of success. If dingo can't work with that then its his failings.

If his structures and patterns aren't connecting with the players then its his job to change things until he is *hiting the players buttons.

He seems to me to be a very arrogant man who's idea is that its his way or the highway. Thats obviously not working at this level or with this group of players, its his job to change things, if he doesn't he won't have a job soon.

The idea that the Aussies don't have enough depth is rubbish as well. A quality coach makes all the difference.

Gatland took an Irish team from about 8th or 9th in the world to 3rd in the world. The Irish have far less player depth than Aussie, Gatland is also doing big things with Wales who don't have the altheletic or natural ball players that Aussie do.

Good points muggie and mark- I know I've been a pryk about Deans but after the years of bullshyt and self-styled superiority from most of the red n black mob, I am enjoying his dismal failure.
(Probably a bit too much but at least I can admit it).

Re:Robbie "turncoat" Deans Reply to this message
I agree with you, Muggie.

I'm a Canterbury guy and I don't at all think Robbie is the greatest thing since sliced bread (A lot of Aucklanders seem to think all us Cantabs think the same way, but we're not that simple I tell ya!) I do think Robbie can build these guys up. A lot of people would say 2 years is enough. But Australian rugby isn't Kiwi or Bok rugby, it needs longer. You can put your fingers in your ears and shake your head all you like but think about it.

Re:Robbie "turncoat" Deans Reply to this message
Robbie is out of his element. He's trying hard to rebuild the kind of environment they have in Canterbury, but he's working with Aussies - it ain't a happening thing. Maybe the younger ones will work in the Canterbury-style structure, but the older ones don't seem to be able to.
Perhaps the NH tour will give them a chance to put it together - playing against the ABs sure isn't giving them a chance. Or the Boks, though they did put together one good game there.
His field positions and subbing are baffling, though. Pulling Palu when he did, that was the biggest question for me. He was at his powerful best - why pull him? One thing for sure - Henry continues to outpoint Robbie in the coaching stakes. I think Robbie has the potential to be a good international coach - but he's not there yet. The NH tour will show us more, but one thing's for sure - the Wallabies under Deans are not at the same level as Henry's ABs.

Re:Robbie "turncoat" Deans Reply to this message
well dingo inherited the crusaders from wayne smith if you look back .... and wayne smith had already coached the crusaders to 2 super 12 titles at the time before moving on towards the all blacks head coaching role.

ted right now is teaching dingo a thing or to.

7 wins 1 loss .... fact:):)

Re:Robbie "turncoat" Deans Reply to this message
The problem with Robbie is that he has dropped too many of his experienced players like Smith,Waugh,Sharpe etc..and he has an inexperienced team that hast got a clue and look woeful at times.Who is going to show his young players the ropes when all the old heads get benched or dropped. They need guys like Mortlock[when he is injury free] smith and waugh playing with his young troops all the time,he doesnt know how to blend his players...oh well tough sh!t Robbie you think he would of thought of that...GO THE MIGHTY ALLBLACKS!!!!!!!!!TED IS THE MAN!!!

Re:Robbie "turncoat" Deans Reply to this message
hahaha juzz.

dach, other than a joke or 2 from juzz we won't see all those other dingo cheerleaders, infact we haven't really heard from any of them since we bet the Aussies after the 1st test against them in this years 3N's.

A few hung around after the 1st loss hoping that dingo and his boys would get up, but after the 2nd loss we haven't heard from any of them.

The funny thing is, if we happen to lose a game up north they will suddenly all come out of the wood work and start up with the same old shyte about how useless GH is blah blah blah.

Agree with everyone else I nearly wet myself laughng when I saw dingo singing the anthem hard out, what an idiot. The other thing was his quote in the newspaper the other day when asked how the year had gone for him, reply: "infact this year has been a great year in coaching for me"????

Must be that journey he's on!

Re:Robbie "turncoat" Deans Reply to this message
we have had coaches from NZ sing the Samoan,Fijian,Welsh, j,a,p,a,nanese,Irish,Scot tish and Argentinian ANTHEMS but it aint the same when you see a former AB coach/former AllBlack sing the Aussie national anthem arm and arm with an former Wallabie turn the stomach a bit.It would of been worse if a former AB coach/former AB singing the STH african anthem arm and arm with a former spring bok would cause some dry wrenching...lol
