Di I'm still an a$$hole too many on here.
For the first time I've looked at the teams in the Southern hemispere, not just the international sides but S14 and the club competitions
What I've learned is that the SH isdes have a better structure and don't play the amount of games we do,
The NZair cup is yours, curry cup SA, don't know what the aussies play but, we play Magners league, Hieneken cup and an anglo cross border comp against the English, too much rugby, put the Autumn internationals and the six nations and our best players are spent by the end of the season at least those that get there.

Why!! thats the big question Renee, Firstly some of his comments the ABs have lost their aura, they bend the rules, refs are afraid to penalise them.
These are all his comments not a Welsh view at all He has publicly chastised a player (ie) TV interview He has made mistakes on certain game plans and picked wrong players to perform certain tasks that are not their strengths and has admitted to these when challenged by his interviewer.
That he is a good coach I have no doubt that he is a great coach I question.the welsh coaching team is made up of Edwards, Howelly, McBryde, Jenkins. Edwards is considered top draw and was with him at wasps and believed to be the driving force , he still coaches there.
Edwards will be the next England coach
Edwards is our defence coach Gat is the attack coach I'll let you decide which of the two worked better against you.

whys that Andy??
The Welsh rugby team remind me of the NZ cricket team.
They have lots of promise and intent, but lack the top notch talent and technical ability to consistantly beat the very best.
Their fans think they are better than they actually are, and just like the NZ cricket team, the coach often gets sacked to be replaced with the "new" Great Redeemer, followed by a short lift in performance but when that lift in performance falls away the fans start turning on the coach, he eventually gets the boot and the cycle starts again.
Gats is a damn good coach, all the teams he has coached over the last 8 or so years have all had major improvements or won championships. Wasps, Ireland, Waikato and Wales. His coaching ability can't be questioned, at the end of the day he can only work with what he has.
I think he will be the next AB coach after GH leads us to the WC title in 2011. And I would be more than happy with Gats at the helm. |

You actually meet up with people you post with andy?
I wouldn't want to meet anyone on these boards for two reasons.
1) A few of them would be justified in giving me a knuckle sandwich for slights in months past.
2) It would destroy the mental picture I have of everyone- I see you (seriously) as a bloke with glasses, tweed blazer with the leather patches on the elbows, drives a Volvo, will probably add a pipe when you're a bit older.
I don't want that image destroyed to find your some bloody hulking ex-lock who wears Led Zeppelin t-shirts and drives a Porsche 928S.
And also, you may be one of the 'knuckle sandwich' brigade and a former halfback with a big mouth can't risk that mate! |

There are quite a few NZers there and South Africans No aussies tho so the invertation is to sprouter too.
Gives you more of an insight into Welsh rugby.
There is a Southern hemispere section will be a good talking point for you this autumn.
We talk about all things We often meet up for drinks at certain games so we get to know the faces behind the key boards you would be welcome there.
Don't look for me as Andy Beech I use my first name there without the beech.

imo Tialata is not our no 1 Franks is, but the big fella GH makes the decisions, and Toeava, Sivi, McAlister, Weepu, Jack MAY make the 22
But true with your Adam Jones, halfbacks and fullback being close to top notch they may have made a big impact
i know you boys love Gethvin, best in the World, maybe, but a big maybe when he could be undominant against 2 OK AB props..
But we shall see in NZ next year
I think the Aussie front row will be more than a handfull too
Keep going hard Andy, commend you for putting up with us all, and giving us the Welsh angle on things, more than just the weekends games |

Andy, I agree with lots you said, although the comments I made about us having players out just like you, therefore making you guys the favourites were toungue in cheek.
That said if both countries had their best possible teams avaliable and playing well so there would be no excuses, I honestly can't see you guys getting within 20.
The facts about the scrum was that we never had a chance to out scrum you. The ref had a shocker. He had both teams sitting so close to each other on the engage they may as well of played golden oldie scrums, it was a joke. Given a chance the AB's would have smashed that scrum. And like you guys Andy our props were 2nd stringers. |
