And the hideous dross they watched would hardly make any of them want to go to another rugby match again.
The rules need changing but the old farts at the IRB will never do that as the northern teams are too unskilled and unfit (despite their world beating club comps we're always hearing about).
The solution is for the Saffas, Argies, NZ, Australia, Pacific nations, Uruguay and Jaapan to break away and form a Southern Hemisphere rugby board.
The Saffas and Jaaps can bankroll it, Argentina and the others can put teams in the Super comp, the Aussies provide home stadiums away from home for the Argie and Uruguay teams- and New Zealand is there to win it all.
We can still play northern teams but on better terms and with an agreed set of rules.
(I know- it'll never happen). |

Most Kiwis love to see any NZ team doing well. I will be watching and cheering for the All Whites next year. I really hope they can do well.
Mind you if there's a rugby match on at the same time, I may have to record the soccer :-) |

Of course you are going to get nasty replies. You come on a rugby message board and have a go at rugby.
It's not just rugby supporters that are precious bobnvik, We've had some pretty nasty soccer types on here after someone dared to wind them up on their boards.
35000 to a soccer game huh? That was a great game and good for NZ soccer. I might point out that the ABs packed out the 80,000 seat San Siro stadium in Milan. Most of those were soccer supporters. They also nearly filled a similar stadium in Tokyo before that as well as the Cardiff Millinium stadium, Twickenham and Marsaille.
SO I'd say we're pretty even aye? |

| oh dear Kiwis get nasty when it comes to their beloved rugby. Everything else is ok but not their rugby. If the ABs lose it is the other teams fault or the ref or rules or coach but not players. Fortunately soccer is on its way up getting 35000 at last game. People automatically think you eare interested in the game. Surprise surprise some people are not. the problem is in the rules that have been changed by the IRB and largely shall we say to favour certain countries and keep them in the game e.g. through Jonny Wilkinson
However we expect rugby as of old to be thrilling and we expect soccer as of old to bore the pants off us so when things change they get noted. Found the first half of that All Whites game challenging to watch i must say but good on them for their spirit If the AB's were up aginst it and cam through they would get much more attention too, When the rules are sorted rugby is the most exciting of all codes It just needs to get rid of the England must be up there cos we're English attitude in the IRB and change the rules back/forward |
