Hey fellas
Thought I'd pop in for a visit to these here posts, understand your passion and your knowledge of the nuances of the game and always great to pop on board to read your words of wisdom, polite and not too polite I say, I wouldn't trade me paddy boy Brian O'Driscoll for any other player in the world, one of our best to come from the emerald isles, but back to business at hand, as reigning six nations champions, I be personally wanting to see how Jonny Sexton our new Irish fly half fares against the tri nations champions the springboks, the all blacks will have a tough battle on their hands against the french, this will be an amazing test match full of drama and atmosphere as will the welsh and australian test match at cardiff, hopefully a feast of great free flowing rugby to enjoy, wish all countries the best of luck and may your country, the best team win on the day. |

Who the hell is Brian O Driscoll?
When he does something significant on the world stage please let someone know about it, until then, he doesn't register a mention on the richter scale at all,0.01 reading
What has he done for Canterbury or Crusaders rugby to warrant acknowledgement from myself?
Oh that's right,NOTHING,he'd do quite well coming off the bench for Mid Canterbury in the heartland championship so there's still hope for him. |

The only argument these northern fanboys can throw around is the world cup.
How many times have Ireland beaten the All Blacks at a world cup?
Scotland?
England?
Wales?
Italy?
The answer is zero.
France and New Zealand are two apiece (NZ '87 and '03- France '99 and '07)
So even at your precious world cup- New Zealand have the vastly better record over your sucks nations.

| well rugby column im glad we agree o driscoll is a hero , at least we have that in common . i am well aware ireland have never beaten the abs and never should have , i doubt ireland have ever been lower than 10/1 for any of those matches so beating them is hardly a major achievement ,it dosent change the fact that o driscoll remains the greatest centre ever to have played the game , top tryscoring international centre ,the fact that he plays for a second rate team should only further enhance his legacy , imagine o driscoll behind a sa or nz pack getting ball on the front foot instead of hospital ball from a retreating irish pack .finally i seem to recall nz being dumped out of the wc by a sucks nations team .. twice .. , and aus being beaten at home in a wc final by a sucks nations team , ok sa beat a sucks nations team with the help of a blind linesman , lets all agree ireland is pretty average team nowhere near the calibre of the sh teams but give credit where its due when they produce an all time great of the game |

Secondly, winning the sucks nations is about as impressive as winning a chook raffle.

| o driscoll has nt done anything outside europe !? , try and drop goal against australia in australia wc 2003 , how many drops has mortlock or tana dropped , reason why ireland dont win anything is because they dont have the players , but o driscoll won a grand slam basically by himself this year , two backrow foward tries , two drops , immense defence ,are we not allowed to rate a nordie as a great player anymore? i suppose keith wood was just average too , dozens of better hookers running around in sa aus or nz |
