| Most maoris and Pacific Islanders play league and rugby and they make up the biggest population base so thats why soccer is only number 3 for mens sport. Women's soccer is on the up and up. Hopefully some of the new immigrants will play soccer and boost our standards. Still the best administrated sport in the country by far. |

| Ooh I think it's almost as popular as Aussie rules but unfortunately they get bigger crowds and more money than rugby but I'm sure you're right until the alarm goes off and you wake up to find that football is still the most popular, highly paid and therefore the most relevant sport in history while rugby and league will disappear wwith a whimper ha ha |

No, to be correct, it is football here, and all over the world. We have the NZFA not the NZSA!
Clue; apart from the goalkeeper who may use his hands, and usually uses the feet, the ball is normally played with the foot. Hence football.
Rugby etc are insignificant. |
