Agree with you fully, to have presence on the field you have to actually turn up firstly. I think a couple of All Blacks are doing well thus far, unfortunatly were still have trouble with timing which should sort it out so long as we play a similar lineup and not chop and change the side so much. We need to clear our line and not run out of our 22 all the time.
On a more significant note, can all soccer fans keep their comments to the topic. There seems to be a lot of insecurity about soccer in New Zealand which i think is better consoled within soccer threads. There is no need to come to rugby threads and try to compare co@k sizes. |

| deejay_sas you saw how Dan Carter tried to drop kick to no avail, I don't think ABs should concentrate on drop kicking they don't have that kind of talent, no offense. Plus hardly any teams nowadays seemed to use the drop kick tactic, they d rather go for tries. |

there was this piece on the sports highlights reel that showed last year.......
it shows a football fan running onto the pitch and ran past the goalkeeper and faintly brushing the goalkeepers shoulder....
the goalkeeper gave chase - which looked real MANly, but LO AND BEHOLD the goalkeeper DROPPED to the floor and SCREAMED with pain all while holding his face!!!!! hHAHAHAHA ..... to add to this PATHETIC drama - he got STRETCHERED off!!!! hehehehe
yes .... i was bewildered.... i tried to convince myself i was watching ''bend it like beckham'' but no - it was football reality....!!!! lol
i then heard rumuors that the fan who apparently hurt this goalkeeper turned down an offer - a substantial amount of money to do it again cos he felt embarassed that football was turning into a joke...
wow someone who has finally seen the light!!! hehe |

| Hahahahaha dach!!, I saw that 'poke'. Absolutely pathetic acting!!! (he looked like he was in more pain than Waugh, when he faceplanted Richies elbow!!!). The funny thing is, when a player infringes, they get penalised. So when a player puts on such a 'PATHETIC' display of acting, trying to milk a penalty, why doesn't HE get penalised!!. The ref was right on the spot, & saw the whole thing!!. Now, if that was a game of rugby league, & the ref caught someone trying to milk a penalty like that, THEY would cop the penalty!. Football's ok in small doses, but it's all the bullshyte acting that really puts me off, cos I don't think I've seen a game that hasn't had at least 1 of those pathetic displays. Go the AB's (& the WARRIORS)!!!. |

i managed to catch highlights of the football game between italy and this other team.....
it showed an italian player - who looked desparate to get a penlty - pull a silly hollywood:):) the opposition player, poked his finger at this italian players chest - oh no!!! the world ended at that time for the italian player - he screamed in pain, held his shoulder as if a sniper hit him, his facials was one from the movie ''platoon'' -
and at this point the commentator for the match bellowed out in utter disgust ''NOW THAT IS PATHETIC!!!!!''.... hehe
see wharfie - even the football commentator is familiar with your choice of vocab!!!! lol haha
go all blacks!!! |

| Hi wharfie, where you at??? just wanna say hi, & let you know that the 'all blanks' down-trou'd south africa last night. Not too bad for a team playing the WORLD champs ay?? Oh sh!t thats right, it's only world famous in NZ. forget the 500000 or so that showed up for the game!. Saw an Air NZ cup game today. Watched my home team (tasman) beat the Naki. Must have been at LEAST 8000 people at the game. Not too bad for a 'small' city on a sunday arvo, ay wharfie? So who are you supporting in the football at the olympics?. Didn't quite catch the end of the brazil/cameroon game, saw the extra time goal by brazil. Final score??. I must admit to ya wharfie, even though I love my rugby, I don't mind watchin the odd football game (especially if it's brazil), hope they do well. Are they the favorites?? |

19 - 0:):):):) lol
what a game....makes up for the dismal heartless display from the all whites under23 team with overage players:):):) lol hehe
oh....letting you know now in case you sulk again...
in 70+ years of football world cups - ONLY 7 countries have won it....
in 20years of rugby world cups.....4 countries have won it....
proves that in both codes - only the best can win it:):) sorry wharfie - your theory that anyone can win a football world cup is utter nonsense:):) lol sad but true |

| Wharfie not every sport can be the most played sport in the world, and considering how many hundreds of sports there are rugby does well to be right up there. The abs always pack out stadiums whether it be 80000 at twickenham or 110000 at melbourne.Ive seen packed stadiums in argentina and italy,2 of the top 5 teams of the world for soccer. You cant ask for more than that surely. And lets be honest, regardless of how close a game of soccer can be it always comes down to bout 6-8 countries.Brazil, argentin a,germany, italy, france and once in a blue moon england.I take your point bout closer competition but like rugby it still boils down to a top handful in the end. |

stunning_fool, I was talking to your day care minder and she said that despite being almost twenty, they were disappointed that you weren't potty trained. Costing your parents a lot on disposable diapers.
Don't worry about it. Some people just take longer to grow up. You'll be OK one day. She said you were very keen on your dolls and the guinea pig was terrified of you because of your "affection" for it.
One day, when you grow up, you will see how global football is and how pathetic rugby is. |
