Your usual MO I see.
When confronted with the facts and you don't like the facts, lash out and name call.
I am just one of billions of football fans. Its not my fault football is global and rugby isn't. |

Signing up for FIFA or IRB is one thing but being a recognised Football or rugby country is another.
It all comes down to the amount of registered players compared to the population. Sadly for you, that shows rugby for what it is. |

Realitycheck
So does that mean that fifa also does not have 200 or so soccer playing countries but only a few that have "recognised soccer structure". I thought when countries became members of the irb or fifa then they can be recognised as as rugby/soccer playing country. So by your argument is fifa and the irb wrong? |

younoit27, sorry but there are not 120 rugby playing countries. There are about ten countries that have a recognised rugby structure and 110 countries where a few people get together for rugby as a massive minority. Probably about the same level as gridiron is played in NZ.
That does not constitute a "rugby playing country".
You really have NO idea do you???!!! |

i remember being at white hart lane when spurs beat newcastle 4-2 a few years back. the passion of the crowd was unbelievable. the whole crowd went absolutely nuts at halftime when it was announced that a.rsenal were losing 1-0 to notts forest!
thats what i am trying to recreate with my following of nz football. its hard, as the coverage is scant and the football is not of a high level.. the phoenix fans are worthy though. i saw the LA galaxy's first game of the season, and the phoenix fans were way better! there is hope for nz football yet :) |

Oh oh oh
I see eatme NZ couldn't help him self and had to have a dig at Rugby, by saying I've got no idea who the local rugby team is
another example of an insecure soccer nerd
and another example of how soccer fans only b1 tch and moan like a bunch of women. In the rugby threads most of us get along and discuss rugby issues |

i can give you news.. chatham cup continues on monday.. warkworth fc vs central the big game of the round. my mate plays for warkworth and apparently they are fired up to give the 'big boys' a game!
just as a sidenote, the warkworth community and town have really got behind the local football team. i have no idea who the local rugby team is. |
