Ok I will accept that you mean well, so I will ignore the self congratulatory manner of your posts. you dont talk as much sense as you claim, as your views have been totally out of synch with what nz football needs.. ie : your rection to the nil all draw with iraq.
BUT.. i wont carry on with my criticisms of you, as you say you are a genuine fan, and i respect that.
nz football is at an exciting time right now, and there is a genuine chance that we can make the WC Finals next year. With our full strength first XI, I am confident we can beat Saudi or Bahrain over 2 legs. We will need to be physical, and we will need our defence to improve. Despite some poor performances mixed amongst the odd good game, I honestly believe the signs are good. Cheers. |

but bac to me - i mean well , and i post well. i also started this thread which if you havent noticed is still up and runing. i know it irks you that i actually talk about nz football and make sense all the time but you have to realise that im leading by example for our fellow nz football supporters. if you havent already noticed, most postees tend to get sidetracked in this football forum. some like to moan about other codes yet cant say anything of sunstance about nz football. i hope you are not one of them.
i am an example of a true nz football fan. whether you like it not.
keep on posting on this great thread, yahoo/xtra will reward us nz football fans by not deleting it. |

saddams boys? LOL! i think that sums you up. iraq actually won the Asian Cup last year, which is why they were at the confeds cup. saudi didnt win, and bahrain didnt win. one of bahrain/ saudi is gonna be our opposition at the end of the year to see if we can finally reach the WC again.
the reaction to the draw was (in my opinion) well justified, as not only was it NZ's first ever point in a FIFA competition, but the confidence boost from that point will be priceless. Iraq are the most comparable style and skill level of any other team in the world to Bahrain and Saudi, so another reason to be pleased with the performance. What a difference one game makes, as the SA game was a shambles.
Cant see how you think i comment on birds in the sky, when your points are weak and without substance. I'm just trying to give you a more enlightened view of NZ football. I appreciate that you mean well, and thats great, but try and lift your game tho eh? You can do it, I know. |

yes this is the best thread going around in the football thread - hence why its still alive. sorry if you dont feel the same way but xtra do se this thread as one where we can talk about nz football.
but im not going to stoop to your level (and many others), im going to carry on supporting and offering my advice to anything that involves nz football. do you feel the same? or do you just like to talk about the birds in the sky?
follow me devout football fan. this a great thread, the best one around. and of course i started it. thats why its still up and running.
oh wel, im still disapointed at the reaction to a draw (nil all for crying out loud! ) point or no point the all whites should be ashamed they couldnt put away saddams boys. |

oh and i just realised that the other football thread has been deleted.
like i said before - only true nz fotball fans will shine through. not that many by the looks of it but this great thread is where it is at.
show your support. some pretend to support nz football but are actually here to show that they have no love at all for the game. instead some are helbent on discrediting other codes. childish.
but this great thread will carry on i say. 2 or 3 fans - is way better than the no goals scored by the all whites in the con cup. |

yes it was a nil all draw, but i was quite amused at the celebration at the end of the match. now tell me, to score no goals during the whole tournament and then to celebrate the way they did, is that success in the eyes of the all whites fraternity?
i honestly cant believe it. here we are getting up in the early hours of the morning only to watch our football coach jump up and down like a little kid with his staff - forgetting they didnt win and didnt even score a bloody goal!
that is utter rubbish! we cant suffer from this complete bottom of the gutter efforts from our national football team! i mean the under 17 womens team showed more skill and passion!

the reality is the NZ team - ranked 82
beat the Iraq football team - ranked 77

| that was a positive performance from the all whites vs iraq. i enjoyed watching the replay on sunday afternoon, and i have hope that we will battle out the results needed over two games vs saudi/bahrain to qualify for the WC. the all whites aren't consistent, but on their day they actually are quite a good team. please vacate this thread if you dont have anything intelligent to say in regards to nz football. real nz football fans talk about nz football , not display any hate or envy to other sports.
that is why threads are being deleted, my thread is great cos it shows that there are nz football fans out there. not pretenders who are , im sad to say this, a little insecure when showing raw emotions. dont worry about the all blacks or the silver ferns, they have built their own legacy.
this thread is about nz football, so lets try and get in there and build a legacy together. cos right now, nz football needs you and i - to make a better place for us all. |
