Johnnie, the truth is not welcomed on these posts.
Several have apparently been banned for speaking the truth, as no doubt I will be.
Anything that states how rugby is inferior to football will not be tolerated.
This is what the message board has slumpd to.
Much much better on BBC site.

(big bad football fans) yeah ok buddy we'll just pretend they're big and bad. sad very sad

Re:LETS TALK ABOUT NZ FOOTBALL Reply to this message
gremlin_parasite,

New Kid on the Block? What are you talking about? Hardly new. And what are you? Joined at the hip with phantom_poster? Can't he talk for himself? Or were you feeling left out and a little bit insecure, nobody talking to you at the moment? Poor little soul! Thought you would join in with the big boys? Feeling a bit better now? Now be careful, or those big bad football fans might pick on you and we wouldn't want you crying again would we? I'll leave you to argue with yourself, you never know you my just win an argument with yourself, but I doubt it. Bye, bye and don't stay up too late. Mummy won't like it.

Oh and more of the same from phantom_poster, who was feeling left out so thought they would join in. If you don't like it then leave these boards, but of course, you can't do that, can you? You just need to have your daily moan!

Re:LETS TALK ABOUT NZ FOOTBALL Reply to this message
its ok Johnnie, its ok. there is no need to get riled up by some posts from the past. remember it is from the past. but thank you anyway for contributing to this great thread of ours. well done chap, well done.

as for the deleted messages, they were breaches of course. well done to yahoo/xtra for keeping this thread on the straight and narrow. as you see, it has survived the cull that yahoo/xtra have performed to many threads in this football forum. i'll take credit for that if you dont mind.
i like to keep things in perspective and not get too heated and emotional in case we go off topic.

well done Johnnie (notice capital "J") for showing and displaying your raw emotion in regards to nz football.
yes we long for the day when the all whites fill out stadiums and win against the big guns. 1981 is a very long time ago, its 2009 now and i wish a stadium would be full. and not when a pommy comes down under (fact)

well done people for contributing to this thread. you are true football fans. well done to you all.

Re:LETS TALK ABOUT NZ FOOTBALL Reply to this message
Football is going well at the moment. I hope we get at least a win and a draw against Botswana and Tanzania. Undoubtedly smashed v Italy. Then at least a point from Sth Africa or Iraq in the Confederations Cup. Another smashing when they play Spain. NZFC needs to go back to 3 rounds and at least semi-professional. Finally, we need more TV coverage of All Whites down to U17 NZ rep sides.

Re:LETS TALK ABOUT NZ FOOTBALL Reply to this message
scaryface_weka

Are you really as stupid as you write? You say I will throw a tantrum! Let me remind you it was YOU who went off your tree when I replied to your comments when you thought you would have a dig at the FA Cup.

You pretend to be interested in football, but you take a dig at the game at every opportunity. You say that apparently more New Zealanders play football than rugby. No apparently about it. That information has been in the public domain for years, it doesn't take a mastermind to look up the information.

You say this board is only for NZ Football, so why did you have to mention what a Man Utd fan done (29.05.09), and continue to refer to it in another post. You also brought up the Super 14 (28.05.09). And yes someone else did bring up the FA Cup, but is that any reason for you to go on and on about it?

You also say any thread started by yourself will never be deleted because you speak the truth! (29.05.09) Is that why on this thread alone you have already had seven messages deleted?

You say you hope that no pommy takes over as coach of the All Whites. Why? May I remind that our most successful period was under Englishman John Adshead. What difference the nationality of the coach is, I don't know. As long as the team does well, that is the main thing. And since we have only had one NZ-born coach so far, like it or not, if it wasn't for the Brits, then we would be a lot worse off.

You say that you wish for the day when the All Whites play to packed stadiums. Well they have, a long time ago, 30 000 v Kuwait, 27 000 v China and 22 000 v Saudi Arabia (1981). But wait, these don't count as we had a pommy coach and several poms in the side!

And in answer to your question, I hope the All Whites do qualify for the World Cup. Not much can be read into world rankings, but they were 131st in 2006 and now are 78th so they are going in the right direction.

Re:LETS TALK ABOUT NZ FOOTBALL Reply to this message
yes one mustn't get sidetrack just in case you know who is on the rag, and throws a curve ball.

I don't know much about football, but I hope the all whites can progress further than the last time. Or even score more goals

Re:LETS TALK ABOUT NZ FOOTBALL Reply to this message
New Zealand's soccer World Cup destiny will be decided on home soil after the draw for intercontinental playoffs was made today at the Fifa Congress in the Bahamas.

The All Whites will play the fifth best Asian qualifier away on October 10, then return home for the decisive second leg on November 14.

finally! come on football fans!! see you all there!!

Re:LETS TALK ABOUT NZ FOOTBALL Reply to this message
dont get sidetracked there gremlin_parasite, stay on topic in case a certain someone decides to throw a tantrum and start arguing why the all whites have a dismall record (now that ive mentioned it - get ready for the backlash)

i believe the all whites need to show some pride and learn the basics of football. they need to win their fans back, not by relying on "other" people, but by beating their opponents in the confederations cup this year.

Nz football - whoever is running it - should try secure some quality opposition over the next few years. and im not talking about vanuatu or fiji (yes i know we have lost to them last year), im talking of someone from far away (bait).

we need to stop talking about 1982, and start filling out the stadiums. concur everyone?

Me having a bad day? You are the one that writes about the FA Cup, then gets upset when someone replies to you. And yes I have read your previous posts re: Manchester United fans. What has this got to do with NZ Football? And yes I can write about the All Whites. What did you to want to know about them?

Re:LETS TALK ABOUT NZ FOOTBALL Reply to this message
There you go again, writing about the FA Cup, for someone who doesn't want the competition written about you keep bringing it up. Yes I know what the topic is entitled, so why do you feel the need to mention the FA Cup in your postings. As I said if you don't want the FA Cup mentioned, then stopping writing about it.

Re:LETS TALK ABOUT NZ FOOTBALL Reply to this message
i believe the all whites will do alright in the confederations cup this year. pity they dont have ryan nelson to help out. other than that, this could be ricki herberts last chance to cement his position as all whites coach, cos really, who is going to take over from him? hopefully no pommy does.
hopefully they will make it to the world cup next year in south africa.
