If you don't want the FA Cup to be written about on these boards, then I suggest that you stop making comments about the competition. As long as you write about the FA Cup, you will get people answering your comments.
sorry jonnie but if you read a little bit down the thread , you'll see a fellow englishman by the name realitycheck brought the FA Cup issue up. but then again, you always love to jump to conclusions aye sonny jim. selective reading i see, well done chap.

that would be a sweat harmony if we could all just speak football
but surely that is near impossible
because there's a thing out there that must always compare soccer to Rugby. Hopefully this thing is getting help for that syndrome retardation |

As long as you write about the FA Cup, you will get people answering your comments. If you can't take that, then stop posting comments, it's as simple as that. And for the record there have been 42 different clubs that have won the FA Cup. EPL? I presume you are referring to the FA Premier League. Yet again, another non-New Zealand football event brought up by you. And while on the subject, if you want to talk about the Super 14, then how about doing so on the rugby boards and not the football ones. |

so what does have to do with nz football? thats right. nothing.
tell me, how many of the "762" entries have won the FA Cup dear johnny? yes please lecture us oh devout one.
super 14 have 14 teams. 4 different teams have won the comp. pretty good i see.
but lets not get distracted there. lets talk nz football. some are sidetracked a bit. the EPL is not nz football. nor is the super 14.
why cant we just talk nz football? come on football fans. talk nz football. not english football. |

So Super 14 is a growing competition, but then so is the FA Cup, a record 762 entries, in this season's competition.
Most of the players are foreigners? Are they really? So how many of those 762 clubs fielded foreign players? Only a small percentage. |

hes comparing the FA cup to the super 14.
fa cup (PHAR-CUP) lol - has been around for donkey years.
super 14 is a growing competition (former super10, 12 and soon to be super 15).
althoug the FA cup is englands cream of the crop - most of the players are foreigners.
the bulls are players based and available for springbok selection. so are the chiefs for all blacks.
its sad when a fellow pommy wants every new zealander to follow soccer. its just not the same here. super 14 final was the showpiece here in nz.
the exact comparison should be the phoenix playing a south african franchise. but we all know the story. its a non event.
but good to see that there are some foobtall fans out there willing to chat about nz football.
some just cant let go - aye realitycheck? let it go chap - let it go. |

Just before I head away for a few days of skiing, i am curious about the statement "Rugby makes more money than soccer "
As was said before, one NZ footballer, yes ONE, makes more money per year than the entire all black and nz sevens teams. I know its hard for you to see this because your a bit slow and spend your time in a rugby fantasy world.
PS Very sad about the Indians losing to the Cows in the 'big' (in NZ and SA only ) rugby final this morning eh?!
It will be interesting to see the world viewing figures for the FA Cup Final compared to that 'massive' rugby fiasco!
My cash is on the FA Cup Final. Anyone want to bet against me??!!!!!! |

So tonight is the English FA Cup Final and a few hours later is some rugby game which apparently is a final as well.
The FA Cup will be televised round the world and watched in many countries. The rugby game may be televised round the world but 99% of the viewers will be in NZ or SA.
Sorry, its just a reality check!! |
