grass roots here is not good enough the season is far to short + its always rained off. what a joke .the clubs are not supported enough from NZ.child care protection etc.

To try and get this thread back on track I think that there are three things that we need to do
1) We need to get Football more known in New Zealand. Not many people I'm sure have heard of NZ Football. in fact I haven't either. NZ Football must get off their backs and do some advertising to get football more known in NZX and also get the NZFC more known( after fixing it)

2) We need a coach who can deliver a better attack and a better way of transitioning promising young players from clubs into the All whites. At present this is why most young people at around 20 are disappearing into rugby because there is no future in football at present. Also the NZFC needs to be regigged. It should be based around a league structure with promotion/relegation to a second league with teams from smaller towns eg Gisbourne.To take advantage of people becoming tired of rugby in winter the Chatham cup should be moved to that time as it would get better audiences as people would maybe turn up to that instead of the rugby.

3) There needs to be more media coverage of Soccer games in NZ. Right now only the final of the NZFc is shown on TV and there is no coverage of games on other major news media. NZF needs to sort this out after we get better football.
