Maybe its because TVNZ is full of hetro-s*xual males, and women that like there male sports played by men and not sissy boys. Face it, football in NZ is always going to suffer because NZ is a country that shuns the weak. We dont like to fail, and playing soccer in our eyes is a failure.
Forget your "more popular worldwide" argument. All that means is that there are more sissy-men in the world. If you like soccer, you're apart of the masses that like there sports a lil more dainty and prissy. |

| i cant believe the lack of support in the media for our sport here in nz. we dont get enough exposure and we are constantly fighting for tv time against lesser sports on our television. unbelievable!!! why is it that we are always the little boys of nz sport hierachy? we cant be that bad. some of it is due to the failure of our football teams. The all whites, are not role models for the young football players here in nz. we need to create an identity that separates us from the big sports like rugby, cricket and league. but so far we are the laughing stock of nz sport. this was typified by the outrageous celebration after the draw with iraq in the con cup. NZ media please help nz football. |
