| The haka poll was 578 in favor of keeping it 413 to get rid of it, Someone suggested that the all-blacks could be used to scare birds from orchards or send them to dance trying to scare the Taliban. The Taliban would be subdued easier than by using laughing gas. |

| There was a poll regarding "Ditch the haka" before a match on Holmes a few years back - Majority ok NZer's ruled for it to stay! Why? When they preform the haka it uplifts them before the match and kiwi's thrive on seeing them putting there heart and soul in the haka! As far as im concern, i wouldn't worry what a few doubty people like yourself "engscotwa" have against it because MAJORITY rules and KIWI'S love the haka and its here to stay! SO GET OVER IT! |

| tyhe big deal is we don;t expecty you to haul hisold carcass over the coals because you're bigot. Th eroots of the team adopted somehting that was pertinant and it has stayed with us all these years that it is part of the legend and ocan that is rugby. Whta is happening now is all and sundry want to tear it down citing this and that. Thisis what should happen we'll drop the haka once any country that doesn't like it keeps our rugby under the thumbb for decades or a century. Now you can't ask fairer than that. |

i was chatting to a war veteran this other day while on a lunch break, he had been to world war 2 and recalled the glory days
and being the great sports commentator/critic that i am (dont be jealous wharfie/mr.orr/etc.... ) i managed to ask him a couple of questions:
dachiropractor17: "hey Colin, did you play sport back in those days?"
Colin the war veteran: "yeah mate, i played a bit of soccer and a bit of tennis, whys that?"
dachiropractor17: "oh i was just wondering if you had watched or played any rugby with the kiwi soldiers back then"
Colin the war veteran: "oh i tell you what those soldiers were hard buggers, when they first stepped into camp they performed this 'harkerrrrr' which scared the bejesus out of me and my fellow comrades!! we were so overwhelmed by their no fear stance we KNEW we were safe no matter where we went.... dont tell anyone sonny but i would have gladly fought with those guys than the ones we were based with i tell you that much - and my fellow soldiers would agree!!"
dachiropractor17: "who were you based with Colin?"
Colin the war veteran: "some guys who drank earl grey tea, and guys who wore skirts and played bagpipes during the night!"

| Never have i ever brought racism into the boards, all i debate are the aspects of culture that i feel are demeaning to Maori or anybody else. We struggle to educate our children, to teach them the evil of violence, But we havea massive uphill battle when our national sport appears to condone violence by showing such a moronic angry dance before every game. |

| OK the Haka is staying, its been an All Black tradition for years thats my opinion- Just looking at past comments make's me laugh - whats going on jacquelinethompson13 you are dividing a nation New Zealanders and Maoridom ??? I thought we were one nation - OK the english did introduce all these items like guns etc but its up to the people to use them as you said on your past comments or something along those lines - you say maori have to pay to learn maori - why wasnt this passed on from elders like other cultures?? why do we have a maori party in govt?? Im happy that Maori is a school topic but shouldnt we concentrate on Languages like Mandarin / Frence for our young ones?? Yes im a PI and im glad with the introduction of modern day tools - im not a racist lets get this clear. We shouldnt be too hard on the europeans - and to all the others, dancing like a gorilla beating our chest is like blowing into a bag with pipes wearing a skirt or loving a little green man dressed in green.but anyway Long live the Haka |
