DIDN'T ANYONE TELL YOU IT WAS RUDE TO BE AN UNINFORMED ARROGANT RET*RD. WHAT DO YOU CALL IT THEN BECAUSE SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST HAS BEEN AROUND SINCE THE BEGINNING OF TIME, IT MAY BE A CONCEPT THAT A LAMEN SUCH AS YOURSELF WOULDN'T UNDERSTAND, BUT THE WORLD AS YOU KNOW IT DIDN'T EVOLVE FROM LOLLYPOPS AND DAISIES, BARBARRICK YES BUT NECESSARY FOR THE TIME ALSO. IF YOUR REFERRING TO CANNIBALISM AS YOUR MAIN POINT, THE LAST ACT OF IT WAS REPORTED IN FIJI ONLY 50 YEARS AGO, NOT BY A MAORI BUT BY PEOPLE WHO KNEW THAT AS NORMAL. YOU DONT HAVE TO LIKE HISTORY TO UNDERSTAND IT.

| NOBODY FORCES PLAYERS TO PERFORM THE HAKA. ULTIMATELY IT'S THEY'RE CHOICE. THE FACT THAT IT'S PERFORMED AT THE BEGINNING OF MATCHES IS APART OF OUR SPORTING HISTORY. IT'S ALMOST EXPECTED OF US, AND YOU REALLY SHOULDN'T FEEL ASHAMED OF IT, THE WAY THE WORLD IS TODAY THERE ARE ALOT MORE PROBLEMS IN NZ THAN PEOPLE'S DISLIKE OF THE HAKA. PEOPLE OFTEN DISMISS THE THINGS THAT THEY REFUSE TO UNDERSTAND AND I'M NOT JUST TALKING ABOUT THE HAKA ITSELF BUT RUGBY ALSO. AS MUCH AS THE HAKA IS ASSOCIATED WITH NZ THE SAME CAN BE SAID IN REGARDS TO RUGBY. I DOUBT DEVELOPMENT IN SPORTS WOULD BE WHERE IT IS NOW IN NZ WITHOUT THE ALL BLACKS. ALSO NZ IS REGARDED HIGHLY AS A NATION THAT EMBRACES ITS INDIGENOUS CULTURE IN COMPARISON PEOPLE LIKE YOU ARE THE ONES THAT ARE CAPABLE OF HOLDING A NATION BACK FROM UNITY AND PROGRESSION. THERE ARE MORE IMPORTANT THINGS TO STOP THAN THE HAKA. |
