The haka is a dance for tribalistic morons who are stuck in pre-history and a few Europeans of limited intelligence?

kaitatama, People with mana don't need to demand respect for it.
In them, it is instantly recognisable and attracts respect automatically.
You don't qualify in any way, for anything. Loser!

Re:Sick of the Haka? Reply to this message
Does anybody speak rugby on this forum? For those who don't get offended and are within the realms of reality, please enjoy the following and I await a good conversation thereafter.

Recently, I went to the test match against South Africa and really found it to be of utmost quality. The way we came back in the second half was great to watch, and even though we lost (against the greatest test side in rugby history), I felt honoured to have been there to watch such a powerful rugby machine like the Springboks. Watching our country take on South Africa and the battle of will was breathtaking. I admire the way in which we stood up to the power in world rugby. After watching the World Champions beat our team again, it was obvious to see that the Springboks are worthy of their tag as the greatest ever. It is with great admiration that I say those guys sure know how to play rugby. They're double world Champions out of 4 attempts and it was obvious why. We have much to learn from them, and if we do, I am sure our All Blacks can one day too be World Champions

For what it's worth..

I doubt for a moment that KaitaTama is actually of Maori descent people..... I think he is a stirring pretender.

His sign on name reeks of a lack of knowledge of the Te Reo Maori..

Prove me wrong cuz, then maybe...JUST maybe, I might bat for ya..Chur Chur!!!

Kiaora Kai,
Ko taradenton tenei. Kei te he to korero kia ahau e Hoa.
Noa konei ahau.

Incase you cannot understand Te Reo Maori, Iam in fact Maori. I come from two Iwi, one in the North Island and one
in the South Island so I am HOME brother and guess what the
Pakeha is paying my Whanau Trust their rent money. We used their own laws against them to obtain it, arrears and all.
Yes, we've raised the rent as well and we are enjoying the fruits. Ka pai eh!.

Morena xtra,

Quite often threadies don't read back far enough to get the gist of things. I was guilty of it when I first came on board too. Don't worry about Kai. It's probably a reactionary post.

Re:Sick of the Haka? Reply to this message
numbnuts like kai doesn't seem to realise that the reason some like me want the haka removed from the All Black scebnario is because it is sacred; but it has become overused to the point it is now 'common' entertainment. kai should also realise that this topic is about the haka in rugby/sports and not about another no win maori war. But I suppose every country has that dickbrain that wants to start something.

Re:Sick of the Haka? Reply to this message
Yes yes yes Tara,

When I see the haka done, it shows me that NZ is really a country of ethnic diversity and acceptance. Ok, it has Maori origins, but to see Pakeha, Asian, Tauiwi(non NZ born pakeha) et al performing it sends shivers up the spine. Whether it is performed strictly to custom is not a biggy to me. It is the spirit in which it is delivered!!

For sure, some renditions have been absolutely derogatory, but all in all, it makes us as NZ'ers a unique phenomenon on the global face.. Pooh Pooh to the nay sayers I say!!!!!
