| Love the haka in its place. Have enjoyed it for years before rugby matches - but given its meaning (challenge/pre-war whatever) should the other teams really be expected to stand around watching - if I were their coach I'd be talling them to be running the pitche/throwing the ball, whatever not just standing there meekly. |

imagine a whole stadium full of kiwis all doing the haka at the same time???
imagine the haka starting and all the fans join in and do it alongside the ab's at the sametime???
i mean come on? we all know it dont we? we see it enough times,we know the lyrics, sort of know the actions
i reckon it'll be a pretty intimidating thing and a unique thing in world rugby? better then waltzing maloser anyway
a nz vs whoever final and a whole 60'000 seat eden park doing the haka at the sametime as the ab's and its being beamed worldwide, that would be mean az!!!
imaging your the other team standing there looking at images on big screens of your average kiwi giving throat slit gestures in support of their team!!!mean!! |

| According to Maori tradition the haka is a war dance and proceeds the prfomer going off and killing someone b4 eating their head to get their powers. An ideal dance for a rugby side intent on giving their oppnents a physical hiding. A simple suggestion, if someone doesn't like it don't watch. Cover their eyes and fink of happy thoughts (or fantasze experimentally of someone of their own gender). The haka is over in a few minutes anyway. What do Australian's taste like anyway? |

This is a stupid post and we should just not bother to answer such racist slants cause that is what these muppets who bring this up are disguising this post as.
The Haka should be left above reproach, it was here before many of us were born and were poohing in our nappies and is part not only of a proud sporting heritage steeped in tradition and mana but also tied to a country whose race relations policy is at the fore front of global policy...something we should all be proud of.
It is typical of those who don't understand this who don't respect the treaty of waitangi and those outsiders who don't care for race relations and are soft on what it really means to be a Kiwi or a convict and don't have Warrior traditions who continue to knock or be afraid of something they don't understand.
I am sick of '$h!t for brains' who bring up garbage subjects like this that I wouldn't miss like I need a good $h!t. |

| Bae, the Haka has always been around specialy representing a country of so little yet we take on countries consisting of thousands, and the mana we have as a country like ours makes us unique. Unlike America we rise and fall but lets not forget we are the best no matter what. The Haka should be used through out the game to pick them up, not just at the start of the game, it will fire the team and the supporters watching, i have seen this done before and the morel it gives the team is unbelivable. |

| whats happened to the new Haka Kapa Panga, this is the kind of stuff that fires the country up, Do it this week boys. We all grew up doing the haka and loved it when the abs started their new haka. and do the throat slitting too. I am with the abs but yeah it can get overplayed by other teams in NZ sport. |
