Re:nz rugby in trouble Reply to this message
Never
The team they have now kicked everyones butt.

I never understand how England draw easy pools,or even end up in the Semi's?
Maybe it helps them having so much say higher up...hmmm

Dont forget NZ only lost last time because of a 'forward pass' that was later allowed anyway -not an excuse just a fact!

Re:nz rugby in trouble Reply to this message
hey jase_kim, u see, I do know what I'm talking about and that is ur problem. U and ur mates live in a make-believe world where u think the world gives a toss about rugby. It does not!! The reason u don't like me is because I am the teller of the unpopular truth. My reality checks are just that, reality checks.

Re:nz rugby in trouble Reply to this message
hey southernman, "the rest of the world" ??????
Apart from a few countries, the rest of the world have no interest in rugby and so would not comment on the all blacks.
If you mean, UK, Sth Africa, Australia, France then say those countries, because your statement is misleading because it incorrectly implies that "the rest of the world" care about rugby, which of course, they don't!
Have a great weekend!

Re:nz rugby in trouble Reply to this message
the one thing I love about the rest of the world labelling the ABs as chokers is - they are saying the ABs the absolute best in the world and no other team, not even their own, is capable of beating them. the only way they can apparently lose is by beating themselves psycologically.

to choke means to have the title in the bag by being in an unbeatable position. surprisingly, the ABs start out on 0 points in pool play like every other teamso it really comes down to what happens on the day. might be the bounce of the ball, the weather, what you have for breakfast, anything. fact is, sport at that level is pretty even and can go either way on any given day.
funny how a loss in a world cup is "choking", yet a loss in any other Test is considered proof the other team is better than the ABs. can't have it both ways, no matter how much the green-eyed monster gnaws away at your insides.

sad and pathetic. the Blackness will once again envelope the rugby world and it will be a long, dark winter for all those doubters.

mackenzie...

Australia...2 world cups...

South africa...2 world cups...

England ...1 world cup..

New zealand ...1 worldcup....hold EVERY other title...the list is endless...lol...

New zealand is one world cup away from been equal.....LOL....

To be honest I could carry on about the ABs ....fact is they have made more finals, and have never dropped there number ONE rating....

Come talk to me after 2o world cups ....lets see then who will STILL be number ONE and have surpassed everybody else again....LOL...

History will ALWAYS favour the All Blacks....Number one sucker...LOL....

Re:nz rugby in trouble Reply to this message
perhaps a big contibutor to the change in club rugby is that the average 20 yr old today is alot different to the average 20 yr old of twenty yrs ago,im in my 40s and know a few 20 yr olds that aint the slightest bit interested in the game,,they were hard to find a few yrs back

Re:nz rugby in trouble Reply to this message
Having lived in NZ and getting to see for myself the depth and passion for the game, to me it can only be one thing that lets the whole union down and its the attitude. The facts are tough to accept for kiwis, but the abs have choked every time accept the first. And the moaning continues, with the pommy ref taking games in the tri nations. i learned many things in new zealand about rugby, but the bitter taste from very sore losers (who mostly just watch the game)will be somthing i will never understand.
