not p1ssed off about a world cup, to me i beleive our club rugby which is our back bone is in trouble and if you can give me a constuctive facts and support to tell me different I'll apologise on this site.don't get me wrong some very talented players out there but depth, i'm not sure of and will the young ones still be in our grounds 2-3-4-5- yrs time.I guess not and there could be a new breed but numbers are falling continiously.

the game is professional now ,its just a sign of the times money is what makes rugby go round now.The game is more commercialise for the punter.More tries are scored and in a way they have taken the ruck out to please the P.C rugby watchers which has half ruinned the game.
More people are watching rugby worldwide because of the speed and continuos defense.
Our rugby is not in trouble...WE are still ranked no.1 in the world, our super rugby teams are peaking at the rite time, things couldnt be better.

nz rugby in trouble Reply to this message
for many years we have heard from coaches, players, media that when auckland are on song then all black rugby is stronger, well after seeing this years super 14 and the last couple of seasons of auckland/blues and the demise against canes on friday night all black rugby aren't looking good if those coaches, players and media are ones to listern too.yes the old addage that other teams are getting better could be said but when a player of some 22yrs senior rugby behind me,some 400 games and seeing what is happening to nz club rugby all the NZRFU, AB coaches and super 14 need to stand up and start smelling the linament, i'll support the AB's to the end like I did in Wales 2007 but it is a huge disappiontment when i watch the club rugby scene getting smaller and smaller, some talent is there but only in smaller numbers. The NZRFU may say that junior rugby is strong with numbers, womens strong with numbers, but when the pinicale of our grass roots is suffering I struggle to see what improvement the commerical side has brought to our country. Will we start surviveing on the pacfic islands to feed us,as it seems to be they have the numbers that are growing in rugby now days.May be the commerical side of the game has killed the countrys passion, as there is still a number of passionate followers out there and then maybe life has changed for all and NZ are over rugby nowdays
