The best part of Weepus game is his haka.
I admit cowan hasnt been on form for the ABs this year, but no halfback would with the s,hit hes been given by the forwards.
Wait til Eden Park vs Aussie, Cowan will start & play awesome for 60 mins, then Leonard off the bench will bring his usual spark for the remainder.
I suspect mathewson WILL overtake Weepu into the 3N squad with the form hes been showing for JABs.
Don't know what you're watching zorra but Weepu has always been owned by Cowan and always will. If he was as good a player as Cowan he would be an automatic starter." |

| when cowan took the starting spot off ellis last year he did transform the team and last year was playing very well, but his form this year hasn't been good. The team should be picked on form. And from the super 14 Cowan wouldn't be in top 3. IMO Leonard, Weepu, Mathewson were best S14 halfbacks |

| Doubt it zorro, Weepu looked like a chump in the italian game - blew one certain try & possibly another. Some of his decision making is bewildering at times. If there is to be a hurricanes HB in the black jersey, pls let it be mathewson |

| Cowan and the halfback position aint the problem, he is playing well. The forward pack and it's lack of cohesiveness is the issue. Brad and Keven led the way but we still need more mongrel. Stephen Donald accuracy has been poor and their attacking options predictable and easily shut down by the french. You have to have line breakers to generate attacking momentum, and thats just not happening. |

| Who was missing at the last world cup clarky? Who was it that stood there looking at the offside French defensive line and froze?. Weepu has the sheer strength to cut them up in close. Cowan just gets monstered, as he did in both French tests. |

| Cowan will never be as good as Weepu. Offside loosies have their way with Cowan at will. Weepu can and does knock them over, Cowan can't and never has. |

| Agreed, but had GH not spat the dummy with Weepu back then, i reckon he would be one of if not the best 9 in the world right now. He now knows the cost of his attitude at training (apparently the cause of the dispute), hopefully he can rise above it to stake a claim while he still can. |

I would shot Cowan but I wouldn't shoot Graham Henry
and the whole country agrees with me.
Sung to the tune of I shot the sheriff.
Honestly if the AB management can not get over their personal distaste for Weepu then they should go.
Weepu is a far superior player to Cowan who after all is just keeping the seat warmer. |
