where do you get the AB's are "big headed over confidant *** ers" from. The AB's themselves are far from over confidant *** ers, you obviously don't listen to them when they are interviewed or have ever spoken to them in person. The bigest names in world rugby, McCaw and Carter are the most humble down to earth guys you could meet. And the likes of Hayman, Mealamu, Woodcock, Robimson, Colins, Mauger, Muliana, Rokocoko to name a few, could hardly be accused of being over confidant or arrogant. Some AB supporters and media are arrogant, as are a lot of Bok supporters but that doesn't mean the team is.
Also to say they looked crap from the first touch of the ball in the world cup is rubbish as well, the 1st 30 mins of the Italian game was the best rugby you will ever see, it was rugby how it should be played, the ability to play the game like that is something that escapes the likes of a team like the Boks or its supporters.
As per my original post, ib.hay, the Boks are the World Champs for '07' you won it fair and square, no cmplaints. But the title of world champs means nothing when you will continue to lose to the AB's over the next 4 years like you have over the previous 4. I beleive the title of world champs mean's little if you aren't the best ie England over the last 4 years. |

| to b the best you gota win big tournaments..you cant write off a team regardless how they play before the world cup..yes all blacks were the best last year and the year before..this year you could see that somthing was going 2 stuff up..r they the best? no not anymore |

| Stick to the facts mate don't start with refs and such BS stick to the facts. I said the All Blacks might be the best in the world - fact one. The Springboks carries the ultimate title in World Rugby, The Webb Ellis - fact two. The question people will ask in future is not who is the best team in the world but who is the current Rugby World Champions and the answer is the Springboks. The All Blacks is like a boxing world champion. For 11 rounds they knock the living crap out their challenders but in the 12th and final round the challender sends them to the canvass for a count of 10 - end of story. Say no more. Knock out in boxing terms. The same senario plays out in Rugby World Cup year. |

| Frans D.B.Clarke would say if he was still alive that winning a test or let alone a series in SA was impossible,no matter if the ALLBLACKS were ahead you would always know the BOKS always had the last say,thats because their own refs totally did us in during the games. |

| dnt have to be a rocket scientist to know the AllBlacks are still the best,England or the Boks havent beaten us for a while,especially the Poms.I had to stop myself from yawning during the second half of their game.The Boks were a faster version of the Poms and good on the Southern Hemisphere boys for winning that tournament. |

| Its ok renee, you have your view and thats fine. I said before the quater finals that I will not be surprised if France takes out the All Blacks and England upsets Australia and was I correct. Today I will make a simlar statement by saying that it will not surprise me in the least if the All Blacks looses out again in 2011 in their own backyard despite being the best in the world like you said. The All Blacks might be the best team in the world but do not forget, the Springboks carries the ultimate crown in World Rugby, The eebb Ellis for the next four years. Nobody will be asking who is the best team in the world but who is the current Rugby World champions? Many saying the game was boring, thats fine but that is what you call typical World Cup finals. Afterall do you know how many tries was scored in RWC finals? I could not agree with you more. Finally there is some else out there who shares my sentiments from a true perspective of the game. SA are the tournament winners but still not the N0 1 team in the world. That claim is reserved for the AB's who play like champs regardless of the lack RWC champion status.
The current SA world champs know they will have to prove their claim when they come here in 2008 for the Tri-nations
Man ! its gonna feel soooo god to bash them next year ... again! |

Firslty, congrats to the Boks, if any other team that was in the final 4 would have won other than the Boks it would have been an absolute joke, the Boks are rightful world champs.
However, I know some will say you can't say this, but I don't give a rats arse if Sth Africa won the cup, for me it doesn't change the fact the AB's are still the best team in the world. Over the last 4 years no one has beaten us at home, we have thumped all Northern Hemp teams beating France and England by 30 or more points - achieving the grand slam while we were at it, and have won the Tri-Nations and Bledisloe Cups.
Yes, we didn't win the world cup, and damn it's frustrating, but one loss to France doesn't change anything. On the same hand England winning a couple of games at the cup doesn't make them the 2nd best team in the world. Most teams can get up for a one off tournament, which is why the World Cup is so exciting, but in reality it doesn't make the winner the best team in the world.
As in 2004 the "World Champs" came to NZ and were thumped by 30 odd points in each test. Were the World Champion English the best team in the world....no, of course not. And the same will happen over the next 4 year or so, the AB's will beat all comers, and who knows maybe heaven forbid fail again in 2011, but one tournament doesn't make a team the best, it just gives you bragging rights. |
