Hi fellow rugby fanats!
Our AB's are on track to push South Africa to the last for their potential 3N's trophy.
We did brilliantly to beat the Aussies after being down 12-3 at halftime. Bring on the might of the Boks!
They are in a far superior league to the rest of us again, but we should stand up to the Saffies when they get here!
Go AB's! |

All blacks always will be unparalelled innovators and leaders of world rugby.
an infinite rugby player production line and their long history of success speaks for itself
springboks have utilised a kicking strategy and are getting better and better at mastering the basics of rugby and knowing how to win big games together.
the all blacks are no dummies, they are proven world class players who are unfortunately in a rut of confidence and skills. Daniel carter will help restore some of this lost confidence and navigate an approach based on percentages, one which takes on the opposition directly, physically and right at their core of their pack to open space for carter to weave his magic, best of luck to the all blacks from a south african perspective , a certain few of us will always respect and have admiration for your guys team regardless of some of the other nonsense that is typed by other bokkie supporters. |

Hi Nutty! I agree mostly, but rugby was dirty from all sides and we have to give respect where it is due! Our forefathers new how dirty both sides where at times! The fact is, even with that, you gotta be great to beat either the Boks or the All Blacks.
But this Springbok side now is really great. One of the best teams for a long time.
We have to stand up to them and understand that rugby without the Boks or ABs would have no real meaning!
The fact is the Boks are going to be tougher than ever!
All Blacks forever! |

Are you kidding? Worlds greatest rugby nation last century maybe but I wouldn't call a 5 game advantage dominating. Can you imagine the dirty play back in the day? What about the fact that they didn't allow Maori & P.I players to enter the country until the 70's.
Sueziesbak's wikipedia link was interesting.
It's a great rivalry and will continue to be, but I don't think the current S.A lineup are that great, there has been better teams.
The All Blacks since S.A have returned to rugby is whatchu call domination, it's borderline bondage! Everyone got spanked! |

| Oh yes, and if the Springboks win the next rugby world cup AGAIN, we might as well pack up our rugby boots and start playing Kiwi Rules football! |

I am a stern rugby supporter and live to watch the All Blacks play the Springboks. My grandfather use to tell me about the might of the Springboks and how great it was to for us beat them. I have some very interesting facts:
1921 was the first time SA NZ played. It ended up a drawn series.
Thereafter the Springboks won or drew all series between each other (unitl 1956 with Don Clarke!) and took claim to the title of world rugby's greatest team for 76 years, always leading the All Blacks by having a superior win/loss the All Blacks. In 1992, after 11 years without any international rugby, the Springboks re-entered the rugby world with 20 wins to NZ's 15.
In 1997, NZ took over that title of most wins and have held it now for 12 years. It has taken the Springboks, ironically, about 11 years to get themselves sorted out and now look set to dominate us again. The scary thing is, even when they were underperforming for the last decade and a half, they still won 2 world cups!
South Africa have 2 world cups, New Zealand 1 (a world cup without the Springboks because of Apartheid).
I hope NZ can hold on to their lead of wins between the All Blacks and Springboks, but it looks very much like the Springboks are going to dominate this century like they did the previous one.
Lets enjoy our image us the greatest..it might not last long!
It is an honour to watch these great nations play each other and I hope for our sake, NZ keeps it up!
Go All Blacks! |
