Absolutely agree with you bud; we are somewhat shortsighted to the fact that a coach is only 1person in this scenario and further more it may well be our problem -that we change coaches to quickly instead of consolidating for another crack at it!!!

What is it that every time we lose we sack the coach?
Really he did what he thought was best can't say he wasn't trying. Give him a break hes probably hard enough on him self doesn't need us downing him.

yes i agree send him on his way, never saw any worth or fairness in his and his gang of selectors of a team that had less tangata whenua except the two that were picked as a jesture of tokenism.I am totally in favour of a tangata whenua team under the pacific nations in the next world cup with the same monetory values as the AB's I know its a DREAM hoei ano

Re:Henry must stay Reply to this message
Yes I agree that it would be a good idea for Henry to stay.
NZ has had a very immature habit of getting rid of coaches.[and it is so last century]
He has proved that he can work with others and has built up very valuable experience. His teams have played skillful innovative Rugby, and have a a very high level of winning.
NZ are still leaders in this respect. Always winning is not the measure of who most consistently plays the best ruby,[rugby with speed, skills and flair]
Paddy.

Re:Henry must stay Reply to this message
he stays cos too many good people get heaved from New Zealand cos their ideas are not the flavour of the day! get real nzders 2011 is just around the corner and we need to retain the best to get better for the gameplan of 2011. Henry is a "change agent" we need to grasp it, but he is not the entire reason we lost the game!

Re:Henry must stay Reply to this message
let henry stay for two more years, then change the coach! all black teams always show their worth too early, and other teams read our strategies, by changing the coach two years before the world cup, he will bring new ideas and strategies and not give the world enough time to learn our plans. wheres matt te pou?

Hi there, just a comment, if we are going to say "Henry must stay" than why didn't everyone said the same thing to John Hart and John Mitchell, they got booted out, it will be unfair on those two, they were good coaches as well. i have great respect to Henry but i dont like his tactics...he should go.

thanks

Re:Henry must stay Reply to this message
Graham Henry has an amazing scorecard as coach - isn't his win rate around 87%?

Why do Kiwis put great effort into bashing the ABs & management when they have a loss? Henry should stay.

Why (Oh why?) are people not saying anything about the lunatics who were the match officials for yesterday's game?
The French were bound to win because they had 18 players on the field. 15 in the team and 3 in the officials.

The IRB should be ashamed of themselves!

Henry must go -his stategy was an absolute failure - his team was underdone due to rotation and not having played much for over 2 months

Re:Henry must stay Reply to this message
Of course replace him. Henry has NEVER built a successful team. The only one he had which was successful was the Auckland team that he INHERITED! That team was built by John Hart and honed by Trapp and Williams. All other teams that Henry has been invoved in have failed and didn't even reach the final hurdle - let alone win. i.e. Wales, The Barbarians and now The All Blacks. Get in Robbie Deans. He was an All Black. The highest Henry ever got was Auck.B

Re:Henry must stay Reply to this message
He should stay. How's about sacking the New Zealand rugby board. Every time the A.B's lose they say sack the coach. If you look back at when fitzy,Zinny & co were playing the team was the same year after year and were winning, but since then chop and change, now who's idea was that. Changing the odd player is understandable, but changing the coash is not the answer.

Re:Henry must stay Reply to this message
Henry to go? YES! Macdonald has been inconsistent the whole year and he plays, why didnt muliaina start at fullback and toeava @ center? the rotating system is useless. overall i think the wrong squad was chosen for this cup. i mean kellarher, leonard and ellis? where was weepu and gear? (not to mention that no one led the haka with the intensity that they did ;))

Re:Henry must stay Reply to this message
One of the great mistakes in NZ rugby is our "sack the coach" after every world cup defeat attitude. It gives us no continuity and consistency in our coaching regimes - and during crucial world cup matches, the lessons learned from past failures could be absolutely vital and something we're lacking. If the saying that you learn from your mistakes is true, there is no-one more qualified to coach the AB's than one who has experienced that kind of defeat before. It seems that in the two years leading up to the past few world cups coaches have always produced such impressive results, we say "this time, we have the right coach, this time we'll win because we have Hart/Mitchell/Henry" etc etc...and when that defeat comes, it's "öff with his head!"
.It's time realise we can't keep demanding the resignation of people who aren't the ones on the field, dropping the ball, missing the kicks, making the poor decisions. Controversial as his policies were, the results leading into the Cup spoke for themselves.

Henry had his chance i guess now someone else should, he did great things but last hurdle was too much, i think professionally he would have left the All Blacks as a coach whether he won the world cup or failed.

Henry must stay, I cant believe they still think letting him go will be the answer???? Henry is such a good coach and letting him go will be a huge loss!!
We lost for so many reasons and blaming it all on the Coach is unbelievable!!!

Common Sense please....KEEP HENRY and the other 2 also.
