| Visiting anywhere in Egypt is a must you just can not help tripping over the history where ever you go. |

A tour down the Nile on a boat, is a must.
Visiting Cairo, Luxor, Aswan and Alexandria.
Also some time to unwind in Shamel Sheik. |

| I loved it in Egypt so much to see and do. Why would you want to spend two weeks somewhere else? Great country to travel in. |

| i did two weeksin egypt a while back, its plentyof time to see stuff, three days in cairo is about what you need to take in the old part of the city, pyramids, museums markets etc. you want time to really check these places out cause theres soo much history. you can overnight train down to aswan and sail a felluca up the nile for three days checking out all the temples out on the way, valley of kings/queens a must, luxor for a few days and you could even go into the desert for an oasis trip, no doubt once youve done it all youllwant to go back, iv been 5times and it gets better each time, always something different to see. i reckon jan/feb is the best time too go, cairo is about 20 degrees and down south aswan is around 25 so its real pleasant, you can even swim in the nile! youll love the food too |

Here's some thoughts :
Definately do a felucca trip down the Nile, its fantastic fun! Nothing like not showering for three days...
Do visit Abu Simbel - its a bit of a mission to get out there but its fantastic once you are there.
Valley of the Kings/Queens also a must.
I went in April and it was hot then, don't recommend going in August as I hear it is absolutely stifling and not much fun to travel around in that type of heat
Cairo is underrated/ignored due to all the other things you can see/do elsewhere, but I quite liked the place, the National Musuem (I think from memory) and the main shopping Bazaar are quite good to have a look see.
Try sheesha (water pipe smoking) - strawberry and apple flavours are less strong than other flavours. |

| Can you recommend an itinerary for a 2-week trip to Egypt? I'd love to hear other people's experiences and recommendations for Egypt. |
