I am a 20 yr old dutch girl living in New Zealand... I have lived here for 17 years. For my gap year in 2006 I went to Holland as an aupair and it was the first time back for me since I was 3. I completely fell in love with the place and still struggle to be back after my time over there. I would love to be in touch with dutch people around New Zealand so if you are keen no matter what your age that would be wonderful..

Kroketjes are def my fave too :D luckily i live close to a dutch shop :D

If you ever want the recipy for croquettes Ingrid let me know. I have made them myself for years. Glad you had a lovely time in my ex home country. It is a nice country and has alot of history. And a bike is ok in Holland where it is flat, but Auckland is a bit hilly for that i think, Great in ChCh where i am.

As a Kiwi just spend 1 month in Holland. I have gained about 5 kilo's eating all the goodies here you can't get back home in NZ. My parent live in a little village called Dalfsen in the province of Overijssel. It has a lot of green here and ofcourse heaps of people on their bikes. When I am back in auckland I want to have one 2.
a famous Dutch takeaway is a "kroket" they are in NZ available as patato crocettes but here they have them with all sorts of meat Fillings, i love them.

Ingrid
