Gotta disagree. We were on the Pacific Star in Feb this year and it couldn't have been more perfect. Food fantastic. Entertainment amazing. Staff very polite and friendly. Would rate it 12 out of 10.

I guess you have to decide firstly where you want to cruise we have just done 12 nights in the Mediterranian froom Barcelona to Venice on Celebrity Cruises Ship Millenium. The whole experience from stepping on board was just amazing. Our cabin just lovely with everything we needed. The ship was a cash free ship so on checking in we had our credit card swipped. We also did excursions on the way that also went on to the account. All meals and tea coffee etc was included. The only meals we had to pay for was the exculsive restuarant and drinks. Sitting on the back deck watching the sun go down and Santorini in the back ground was amazing. A tip we did notice was you dont need to be high up the ship as all rooms are above water and all rooms are excactly the same. Next time we will book further down the ship with a port hole (that is a must). We never got board and we highly recommend this was of travel and seeing the world. Go to bed at night and wake in a different port. We were very lucky no high seas which made it very comfortable. We could not fault our trip at all. Good luck we hope you find a cruise and have a wonderful time.

I went on a P & O Cruise (up the Queensland Coast, leaving from Brisbane) 2 years ago and had a wonderful time. I will add, I went with my Mother, who is in her 70's and she loved it too. Coffee, water outside meal or tea times are pay, as are all drinks and meals from the Steak or Pizza Bars or Ice cream Parlour etc. All other meals were excellent and part of the cruise price:- 5 Course dinners in the dining room. Breakfast available in the Restaurant with Waiter Service or on the deck, self serve - everything you could ever want for a breakfast.
Lunch either a la carte, several courses, in the restaurant or again on the deck. Again, big variety of food options. Coffee & Dnsh Pastries for early risers from 5am - all free, and morning and afternoon teas. Afternoon tea with waiter service in the Restaurants or self-serve on the deck. Needless to say, weight management was a problem. The menus were comprehensive and the food divine.
You'll need dress clothes for restaurants. The entertainment is all worth going to and free - there is so much going on that it is hard to be at everything you'd like to be at - it can be very busy. The costs, which are duty free purchases, are all booked to your cruise card - you can go to the Purser's Office each day to check your balance. Because we only did Oz, we needed Oz$ when onshore. Again, that was all well organized. |

I've never been on a cruise but I have read that the P&O cruise ship Pacific Star is nothing but a drunken Ozzie booze ship run by a company that doesn't give a rats *** about other passengers welfare. Choose wisely and have a great one.

My partner and I are wanting to go on a cruise for our honey moon, but we dont know much about them, we want a really nice but not too expensive room, and were wanting to know how much money we should have for spending money. Do we have to have the currency for the countries already or can you do that on the ship? and I was told that on the cruiesliner they book everything to your room and then you pay at the end. Is there a way that you can keep tabs on how much you spend so that you dont over spend?. Also what meals are included on your tickets? Any and all info will be muchly appreciated
